Why would result of that stop them from announcing semi final date???

They will want to know who we are playing for a few reasons, 2 sets of fans traveling from 2 different directions, each of which has its own issues to deal with, don't forget the Met police are involved with this and that effects them as well, the Sunday they also have the marthon to deal with. Besides those sides have there own fixture lists to think about, and the TV company's are involved.

All four clubs involved will all have to clear their fixture list for that weekend so there is no issue with that.

There is going to be 80/90,000 fans traversing London on the Sunday and approaching from different directions anyway no matter who is playing so Plod will have to deal with the Marathon and the match crowd anyway.

Palace fans will be approaching from the south east of the city, around Croydon, and Watford from the opposite direction to the north west.

If it is us and Hammers the same more or less applies.....they will come from the East End and us from oop north.

And if it is us and the Mancs involved then all will be coming from the one direction and the supporters coaches will not have to go anywhere near the Marathon route......that seems the easiest scenario for the Met IMO.

After that the TV companies could haggle over which game is shown where, which is what they are going to be doing anyway.

It really is that simple.

But oh no.....as usual the football authorities make it look like they are re-inventing the wheel :(

High Wycombe is a decent shout for a stopover outside of London. Some fast trains take about 20 mins to Wembley, and you're straight on the M49 to drive home.

Granted it's an absolute toilet and full of mutants, but so is the rest of the south east.

Palace confirmed as Wednesday April 13th @ 8pm, live on TV.

So that's 3 away league games in a row for our next 3 fixtures.

It's astonishing really, as it's a breach of the Premier League's own rules. From the earlier article posted on the first page:

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...ews/sunderland-vs-everton-next-month-10928315

There is also a free midweek after the Tyne-Wear derby next month but the game cannot be played that week because it would mean Sunderland would go on to play three home games in a row while Everton would go on to play three away games in a row, and Premier League rules forbid a run of more than two successive home or away games.

For me the games against Utd, Watford and Palace I would field full strength sides. But for Southampton and the Derby days before the semi final I would go for mainly 2nd string along the lines of

Robles

Coleman
Stones
Mori
Oviedo

Besic
Cleverly (Mccarthy as sub)

Duelofeu (Lennon as sub)
Barkley (pienaar as sub)
Mirallas

Niasse (Rom as sub)

Would give us an advantage going to the semi with either West ham or Utd most likely having to have played full strength sides in those 2 games that week before Wembley due to their fight for the top 4.
