Screw it, just get an entertaining game for the neutrals. 2 terrible back lines, 2 great attackers.

West Ham v Watford and Man U v C.Palace are rearranged for the same night as the Derby so all 4 semi finalists will be playing strangely enough,no matter who win the Hammers/ Utd replay.

They've only arranged them two games as 'finals that could have been'...if Everton hadn't wellied the lot of yis'

I couldn't handle getting beat in them two games that week, however it's likely I wouldn't be able to handle winning them two games either - on the lash in town for days on end

I'm guessing @davek that you said this slightly tongue-in-cheek however, the genuinely worrying scenario is some dip5h1t yard-dog like Milner, Charlie Can, Moreno or Horrendouson will go flying into a tackle and we might lose an influential player from the semi (and final).

This may sound like an early over-reaction to this scheduling, but I'm already fearful of the potential of such a scenario happening - the tinder-box atmosphere of a 'derby' could very and all too easily be ignited, both on and off the pitch.

Maybe, we should field a 'second string' team in the derby - after all, our 'second string' actually ain't that bad.

It's the worst possible game to play before the semi final

Either we play a full strength side and risk injuries or play a weakened side and risk getting walloped

I'm furious about this, it really is thoroughly unreasonable

Liverpool supporters would feel just the same if the roles were reversed

They'd be making banners and organising marches as we type.

Moyes got absolutely slaughtered for playing the reserves in a derby a few years ago, rightly so.

I'd much rather we played a good team and tried to build up some momentum. Imagine if we get tonked at Anfield and then lose the semi. The verdict would be SACK SACK SACK.

That Liverpool team was 1000 times better than the dross they have now. Depending on whether it's their day we could actually win if we field a decent reserve side.

Romelu Lukaku must not play in this game.

Even our reserve front three (Mirallas Niasse Deulofeu) is miles better than anything Moyes had in his time here. I honestly think there's enough talent in our second string to take them.

  • 5 Reina
  • 03 Jose Enrique Booked
  • 23 Carragher
  • 34 Kelly
  • 37 Skrtel
  • 08 Gerrard
  • 14 Henderson (Kuyt - 72' )
  • 19 Downing
  • 20 Spearing
  • 07 Suarez
  • 09 Carroll
That's a pretty terrible team bar 2 players, they finished 8th that season. I reckon it's about as good as there team now.

Anither thing to consider is our league position at that stage.

By then we could be knocking on the door of the top five or six so we could well need thise points.

:)
