End of season awards cancelled/rescheduled...

I'm glad that RM has been put out of his misery but I'm annoyed at fans' overly judgmental view on how this has happened.
I'm pretty sure most of you haven't sacked someone or been sacked (we've all been sacked from teenage bar jobs).
It is not a great experience and you don't want to look like a short-termist knee-jerker.
Normally you would change management at the end of the season (lots of the best clubs around Europe do this including the Manchester clubs).
We had to move RM's exit forward because he didn't deserve the abuse he was going to get (although he could not take us any further).
So, we had to cancel the award ceremony at short notice and using this as a weak excuse to blame the club is purile.

Should have went ahead, some great awards given out to some richly deserved people not related to the first team.

Disagree mate.

It would have caused uproar. Given that multiple players have not put the effort in they should of.

There's a sense of relief. But the angst at spending £14million on a player who has shown absolutely nothing, doubts ever will. Is still grating me.

Who authorised that?

Well Niasse, I'm not prepared to bin yet to be honest mate, I like to think nothing is done with bad intentions but I'm sure pound for pound in trading recently came into the decision making in today's announcement.

I disagree on the awards Everton are more then just the first team, I'd have no problem with the first team facing a protest, if it gave a night out to the Everton in the community gang and recognition, also an Everton giant and the underage teams. Screw the first team IMO, why wrap them up for protection after recent performances.

I'm annoyed by this Prob because, it would mean nothing to say Lukaku renting his tux or his Mrs picking a dress, but likely the Everton in the community lads will be out of pocket after diapering themselves up and their Mrs, the underage lads and their girlfriends not to mention the ladies.

Might be a small thing in the over all scheme, but is important to the club and also me.

It's been coming for a while. However the club should not be celebrating failure.

It's that fundamental for me.

We need to take a breather. Regroup.

Get the manager appointed. Until then it's not really right to be celebrating.

I want Jose.

Really disagree mate, the first team is only one facet of the club, gutted for anyone else who deserve recognition and are likely out of pocket, Everton in the community, ladies and the underage team, coaching and support staff as well.

There is a lot to be proud of Everton away from the mess that is the first team.

I'm really not keen/against a Jose appointment mate.

Exemplary.

Nice to see something good come from a rather awkward situation.

Well done Everton!

Edit: in response to food donations.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on these ones. Having been talked around on Martinez original appointment. That's not happening again.

On the awards. Yes the other teams deserved better. But blame the first team.
The first team are meant to carry the standard. But haven't.
