i have been a fan of elvis costelloe for a number of years now and to my shame only found out this week that hes a scouser.
can any of ye tell me if hes a blue or even if his family are ?
as he has some irish blood in him , im hoping we can claim him as one of ours.b)

He's a cockney mate. I think he went to school here for a year or so. And he's a Kopite...or likes to think of himself as one.

First three/four albums were great. The rest have been pretentious old tosh.

To be fair, about half of it HAS been pretentious old tosh. He's playing the Phil in June. Not the greatest singer in the world but he's got a good back catalogue and is worth seeing.

He's a Rednose. Delayed a concert to watch the Istanbul final. Think he was born in Liverpool to Liverpool mother and Irish father. Lived in the city for a while before moving to London. Saw him at the Phil a few years ago (brilliant) and he said his mother used to work there.
