Linked with us again (amongst others). Would be a great signing for Everton. One of Holland's brightest young prospects. Really started to look out for him, after he was first linked to the Toffees. Quoted in a Dutch footy magazine as saying he wanted to leave FC Twente. Wants to play at a higher level and bigger club in order to progress. Said he hoped for a club that would give him a chance and time to do that. So, Everton would be a perfect fit for him, I reckon.

Tell me about him Dutch, what type of wide guy is he? Tricks? Pace, Beat a man? Will he do defensive jobs ?
 
He's supposedly got a 8.5 million clause in his contract. He's definitely got talent from the little I've seen of him, he's the sort of wide player (in terms of style) we should be looking at.

I still expect us to go for someone like Joe Ledley or James Morrison though, I think Elia would be a bit too expensive.
 
He can play as an out and out winger. Technically gifted and has a fair bit of pace. He can be unbelievable tricky, beat a man cutting inside or get his crosses in from the byline. He's also a teamplayer, so he'll drop back if necessary. Plays as a left winger for Twente, but could also play on the right side I reckon. Think TB is right in saying he would be in the 8,5 million pound bracket. Not sure if there's a clause in his contract though. Only signed a new deal at Twente in January, after transfer negotiations between Twente and Ajax stalled.

According to this he has, don't know how reliable it is though.

He can play either side which is also useful.

So he's left-footed then? Sounds good mate, just the sort of player i think we need. I think we could go fir 8.5 million and then we could go for championship bargains or unknowns with the rest.

Two footed mate, but prefers his right. Sorry, should've left the I reckon part away, as it sounds confusing. Can play both on the left and right.

I believe he played well against Citeh. Van Gaal may see him as a replacement for Ribery though as he's almost certainly leaving.
