Best article in the Echo for a while about Everton however its, Depressing, Sad, Worrying.

Were do you end with how that article makes you feel.

Every day now feels like a day closer to the clubs total collapse, the problem is the day may come sooner than we would like to think.

Where's the honesty? keeping quiet about how much **** we are in hoping to find an investor is clearly not working, why dont he just come out and tell the truth.

He mentioned running at a £5 million a year loss, well fine do what any other business does and reduce its costs so that it doesnt lose this money. Tell us that we need to sell "Arteta" for example and this income and reduced wages will help that.
Try and get the club making a profit so this can be re-invested into the club, or pay off debt quicker to make us a more attractive proposition.
If Bill isnt capable of running the club as a business, then hire someone who is, A good CEO can make/save more money than they are paid!!

Water of a ducks back for Bills

Lots of pressure on him ATM so Id guess at a made up takeover/Investment story very soon

I am sure Arteta,Yak,Pinenar,Beckford and Yobos wages and transfer fees have helped towards that

So very true, I am the incoming MD designate for my firm and my first job is to justify my salary by making savings and increasing revenue, wasn't hard to do, negotiated better haulage rates and visited a few countries to extend our product range into a few customers.

I agree with the above, if this is the case, which it is, then tell us, be open, tell us your going to have to sell someone this January to keep the wolf from the door. Be open and honest and then we fans have to accept it as it is or vote for a change.

The whole club is going under, deathly quite fans, dour football, crumbling stadium and no plan except Bill saying for 10 years he's trying to find a buyer.

Well Bill, it aint working, your either a totally ****e salesman or your lying. Give me the job, I can trim the finances, raise more revenue and get the club in a better position to be sold.

Prentice and the Echo can stick their johnny-come-lately criticism where the sun dont shine.

Many of us have been saying all this for years and were told by the same feller and his crew that we were wrong and that it was all good; that Bill and his cohorts were doing their best; that the club was doing as well as it could possibly be expected to do. Now the ground is shifting and people like Prentice and the Echo sports team dont want to be cut off and isolated.

A purley self serving piece by the local hackery. Too little, too late.

I hadn't even credited that there would be a sell on fee to Sociedad out of the Arteta transfer fee. That sort of explains the breakdown of the income and would indicate why the perceived opinion is that we have a whopping £4m warchest.

Given the finances, the lack of borrowing opportunities and the existing creditors clamour for repayment; £4m represents a sizeable investment from the club at the moment. Which is why I don't think it will be made available myself.

Too much to pay before spending. Hope I'm wrong though.

Indeed.

It's very much too little too late, but i'd rather the echo call them out than publish the boards rubbish at the moment.

A few reputable journos catch on and we may have something. I've been saying this for ages, that as far as the story hungry media are concerned to keep their rolling news channels full of scandal, they should delve into this. The fact that it never happens stinks of Philip Green and Earle who clearly have relationships with people they don't want to damage.

Its easier to tell the truth than keep lying, its ok saying the accounts are published and are in the public domain.

However when god knows how many millions are under the heading "other operating costs" then break this down. This isnt being open, and it doesnt need breaking down to the penny. But what other operating costs are bleeding our club dry, as Fletch mentioned shopping around using contacts.

If Wigan with an average attendance of about 15k, and season ticket prices of about £300 a year can still have transfer funds each year, then maybe Bill should be speaking to Dave Whelan on how to run a club.

Too little too late from the echo & Prentice in particular, many evertonians have been saying the same for years and were ****ged off by the likes of Prentice. Looks like he'll be buying his own cup of tea at half time from now on as bill looks to save costs.
