Prentice has gone and quoted a tweet from a kopite tweeting total trash about Deulofeu and Everton, without doing his research..

"Not everyone, it seems, is thrilled by the Blues capture of Gerard Deulofeu.

“Aspas kept Deulofeu out of the Sevilla side last season and Aiden McGeady will do the same next year for Everton. He’s a puddle of runny sh***” tweeted one man crudely but colourfully.

The comment was either a lone voice, or a wind up, as is often the case on the social media maelstrom that is Twitter."

I try not to get too agitated about these things generally but that is outrageous. Have any of the Echo's pieces on Firmino started with a tweet from an Everton fan saying how [Poor language removed] they think he is? That has purely been put there as a wind up.

You musnt have been paying attention because the BU are one of the groups invited to tell the RedEcho what they are doing wrong in the eyes of the Evertonians.

I didn't see your post before I posted in the other thread, but the guy who Prentice quoted was a LFC fan. The guy has the European Cup in his Twitter header and Luis Suarez Twitter profile wallpaper. And in the article, Prentice pretends the guy is an EFC fan unhappy with the signing.

I have to be honest and say that I don't let the echo coverage bother me that much - but after the criticism they have been under and the admission (of sorts) that they have published today, the fact they quote a kopite wum as a blue being unhappy with signing GD is a [Poor language removed] disgrace.

Does anyone have thompsons email address? We should get together here and point out the blatant hypocrisy of their front page today with that article.

There wasn't an admission as such. He said theyd "lost their way a bit". He also said "What I don't accept is that we are biased towards Reds".
I wouldn't be arsed with Thompson if I were you... if you want to contact the author its David Prentice.

Just done some research on twitter, Prentice only had to click on the guys twitter icon to see the quote was made by a Kopite as all his other tweets are about the red****. It's just mischievous by them again (never do it when LFC make new signings) or lazy journalism by Prentice.

Lost their way = neglected = guilty of what this thread is about. Same thing.

I am not in Twitter or anything else, but an email to prentice and copying in his boss Thompson (and his boss but can't remember his name) is what we should be doing.

I just need the emails and they'll be getting contacted and a copy posted in here. I'm more than sure that art hey eh know this thread exists. It would be good for us to all post the emails in here as an audit of what is being sent.
