Echo in 'Derby match report spot on' shocker

No author, brave the echo aren't they.

I can see why they'd do that. They'd be hounded by Liverpool supporters and their families threatened with violence. It's pretty much the policy the Echo has when reporting on gangland stuff.

It'll be written by Greg anyway, but its so biased it's scary. I hate the condescending pat on the head Everton get from the media, i do appreciate the sentiment here though.

I dont think it's biased mate. I think it's what happened, and the truth is not wanted.

I just read all the comments at the bottom of the article, and some of the reds fans are arguing that Rodwell "caught Suarez' shin with his trailing leg"
I'm sorry, but how are you supposed to make a sliding tackle without ANY contact whatsoever? Contact was minimal, with Rodwell's knee nudging Suarez' foot, yet he goes down holding his ankle?
I'm fuming more so at the opposing fans that agree with the red card, than the card itself.

I have said this elsewhere, but the way in which loads of them perform intellectual feats of contortionism in order to prove what they come out with is correct is the sole positive aspect of this, and indeed any issue about which that herd gets worked up over. The clamour that followed Carra-la getting sent off last season for his botched surgery on Nani's leg was a highlight, as was the reaction to the Clattenburg derby, but probably the greatest sustained effort was the war over Rafael's net spend.

As a medievalist, it never fails to make me think of the religious controversies that affected the Church up to the reformation, albeit this is considerably funnier and (so far) less dangerous for those on the wrong side of the argument.

These are the same type of people that put together a package of evidence on Heysel which leaves out Liverpool fans altogether as a cause for the tragedy. This Rodwell stuff is like food and drink to them.

Ha Ha Ha. That's so spot on. They're like some sect...the Opus Dei of the football world demanding 110% allegiance to the cause and self flagellate if they have doubts over the infalability of Shanks/Paisley/Rafael/King Kenny.
