John Giles: Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho cash-in is proof they’re no longer a big club
Good article. Very accurate assessment. However, I wouldn't be overly upset about not being a 'big' club if I were a red. The question they need to address is how to be a big one again and a few things if they fell into place and/ or they get lucky, would push them back up there.

What annoys me about Everton is that we are never putting ourselves into a position where we could capitalise on anyone else's misfortune in the top 6, which could then cause further instabilities in that top 6 that could mean we could try to cement ourself into it, and then move on to where the rs are and try and do the same with the top 4. It's in out own hands, Tottenham have just done it, and are now trying to disrupt the top 4 and become a regular in it -and joyously for them it's probably at the expense of Arsenal. Imagine the joy of us doing it and pushing the rs into the rest of the pack.

The only club in the league who sell all their best players but aren’t a selling club apparently. Laughable hypocrisy. Won’t be long before Salah wants out too. Imagine them all watching their team mate come the end of the season picking up the La Liga trophy (along with anything else they’ll win) knowing he’s being paid twice as much whilst you’ve got Aldo telling you that next year is your year because you’ve signed x from Southampton.

If Salah's agent hasn't got a release fee clause in Salah's contract, he needs shooting.

Just watching Barça smash Celta in the cup. Had to snigger when one of the commentators described the rs as Barça C.
