ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I detest him more than anyone that's ever been associated with them, at very best he's on a par with John Aldridge. I'm deadly serious as well, there is nothing likeable about him, his "charisma" is completely false, and the media circus that comes with him is embarrassing and makes me feel ill. "Oh well he doesn't ask for it" yes he does. His antics on the touch line just scream "LOOK AT ME, THIS IS ALL ABOUT ME", he absolutely repulses me. I can't watch their games because the sight of him celebrating turns my stomach. I'm getting angrier and angrier thinking about the utter creature here.
At last, someone who thinks exactly as I do, I thought I was on my own. He's been a bad actor from the moment he arrived.

After great things with Borussia Dortmund, this is what Klopp has in his locker:
"...at the start of the ensuing season, with Dortmund recording various results such as a 0–1 loss to Hamburger SV and two 2–2 draws against VfB Stuttgart and Bundesliga newcomers Paderborn 07. During the winter, Dortmund fell to the bottom of the table on multiple occasions, but managed to escape the relegation zone after four consecutive wins in February..."

We live in hope that he may yet achieve the same thing here...

I still maintain that if Klopp was our manager and oversaw us smashing Liverpool all over Goodison in a thumping 4-0 victory whilst laughing his arse off, we'd all want the bar steward canonised, regardless of his behaviour and personality

Ultimately if he wasn't managing them I don't know how many of you would still hate him, especially if he was leading Arsenal/Man United to the Premier League title whilst all the Kopites fumed

I would still think he was a div. If you want character, look at Ranieri, he is a character.

But he's not our manager. If he managed any other team in the league apart from them I'd also hate him. He just goes through me, I can't find anything endearing about him, he actually properly disgusts me.

Don't get me wrong I think the bloke is a complete div, but I think all the touchline stuff is to try and get the crowd to create an atmosphere. The big thing Dortmund have is their crowd is a bit mental, so he was the perfect manager for them. Over here, he would be better suited to somewhere like Stoke or Portsmouth.

His football would be perfect for Stoke. Hoof and rush, look for the set pieces.

Not Surprised the one trick pony has been exposed, once Klopp was figured out at Dortmund they became a midtable side.

Klopp also had them in the relegation zone, for a period of time in his last season at that club. With the way things are going at the moment for him at the RS it looks he can do the same with them next season.

I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them at Anfield in April and also we have a realistic chance of finishing ahead of them.

New to football rivalries? ;)

Of course we are going to dislike players/managers less if they play for your city/local rivals. This is the nature of the beast, I didn't really have an opinion of him at Dortmund but was obviously doing a good job. He is definitely getting on my tits now I am seeing more of him, though.

Some of his interviews are just bizarre and I honestly would think that he was a bit of a tit at any other club but the fact that he is at the pit then there is going to be an added dislike factor.

I understand the reasoning

but and there's always a but

He's a Klopp, not a Clough.

I'm a bit less sure than I was previously of his qualities as a manager. He does seem a bit of a tit and might have a real collapse in him too. Like I could see him presiding over a real bottle-job like the title in 2014 under Rodgers, just as much as I could see him managing an 11-game winning streak if they happened upon another Suarez.

He had no plan B with Mane away and Coutinho being rusty. It looks like he's simply going to cross his fingers and hope that they start winning games like they were back in the Autumn from now on. It might work and it might not. The correct tactical approach to playing Liverpool has now been perfectly demonstrated over the last few weeks, so they'll have to find answers to that.

Or perhaps he will switch things up, what do I know? Either way for the time being, I'm not 100% convinced.
Yeah have to say I was concerned about Klopp as I thought he looked more than good - The RS haven't had a serious manager capable of winning the league in years and years, and Klopp getting their current squad (decent, but barely top 4 material IMHO) playing way above themselves was a worring sign. Looks like a rushed judgement, though, as he's all over the place at the moment.

I would say Conte and Simeone were characters in the modern game...
I'd agree with that. It's strange really, the boring anti-football that Simeone's team play and yet he is so passionate. Stereotypical South American I suppose (apologies to our South American forumites).
