Is it just me is this not a bit sick ? To be using the death of 96 people 27years ago to try and win a football match ?

And I thought the Europa league was tin pot? Or is this only the case when they aren't in it ?

Bit rum that

Hillsborough is about more than a football match. The only motivation it should give is to ensure such an event is never allowed to happen again. It shouldn't be used as a way to gee some players up before a match. That's disrespectful to the dead IMO

Imagine laughing at them when our own house is on fire.

spot on what you've said mikey. that club has used the tragedy to such an extent that the deceased and their families (the real victims) are at the background of it all - they seem to have made it all about LFC now. It's just so cultish, you see so many of their fans make references and displaying it in public i just sense they do it purely to toe the line of the football club rather than actually giving a second's thought to the real victims. I just have such a low opinion of that club and their fans (and have every right to) that maybe i'm being harsh.

I just get the feeling they've thought "we both sing YNWA", we'll tell dortmund to embrace in a hillsborough tribute with us, with everyone watching, it would be great for publicity etc. Like i said, maybe just me.

Red in work said the following to me

Liverpool are pushing for the commonwealth games in 2026 (i think he said). There is one main force that is driving the attempt to get it #freestadium

aye but he was hinting that the team were behind it as well in a means to get a new stadium out of it.

Merely his gossip so make of it what you will, no evidence elsewhere of it .

I highly doubt that as it would render the work they've done on their ground irrelevant. I also think any new stadium will be strongly linked to ourselves. The best they can hope for would be us allowing them a groundshare.

Alongside the very obvious distasteful attitude towards the dead, it is completely illogical. Watching 96 people die is very unlikely to get people motivated to play football better. I imagine it would make people fee distressed, demotivated, hollow and question the worth of it all. That's certainly what I get from the footage.
