I watched the match with my RS mate. He was not happy. I'm not sure it helped when I kept saying "it's only a game of football". The whole pub had a bit of a laugh and I had to defend him. It was a good day.............

Pulis at Palace was playing Klipperty's football better than anyone. Klopp has just repackaged another variety of kick and rush and sold the kopites the same football they've been playing for the last 20 years in a shiny new package. The day they sacrifice short term results and back a possession based manager will be the day they might actually get close to the big one again. Houllier, Rafael, Dalglish, Rodgers, Klopp, they all played the same way, everyone back, being overly physical, win possssion back then belt it forward as quickly as possible to a couple of quick forwards. Can't remember the last time j saw a Liverpool team good enough to play from the back and create using their own initiative. The problem with perennially playing on the counter is that you can either meet a team so good on the ball they punish you when you give it to them so often, or you meet a team trying to put counter you then you don't have the ability to break them down. As inconsistent as we might be at least we are trying to move in the right direction where you can approach a match knowing that whether the opposition wants to play or not, if we are playing well we can break them down.
