ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Seems they struggle when the other team runs as much as them.
Spot on mate.

He needs a better group of players than this to do anything. Besides Coutinho the rest are clueless plodders. Klopp's teams are huff and puff - with a couple of world class players like Reus and Lewandowski it works.

Liverpool can't attract that or pay the wages for it. And even if they can buy one they'll have to sell Coutinho to part fund it.

They're miles off the PL title. Klopp might nick them a cup, but that's about it.

I think Firmino looks a really good player too as well. The difficulty they have with him is he looks best in the "false 9" position which means dropping the carthorse that is Benteke and not playing Sturridge.

Their results seem very impressive on the face of it. However as usual when you do a bit of digging you start to get the true story. City are in free fall. Chelsea remain a very poor side and Southampton have been slipping up against the poorest side in the league (Villa). They have only just scraped past Swansea. Essentially they've had a pretty favourable run that they've capitalised on.

I have to say, sides like West Brom, Leicester & Sunderland are going to be very tricky for them over the next few games.

They never ever learn with their 'premature congratulations' do they. If a side playing the way Newcastle are at the moment can repel them... gegenpressing and all, it doesn't say much for their crowing. Or for their 'entitlement' which they toss about like some hereditary peer playing up to his family's past when in reality they've done sweet F.A. for years and years. Its a runaway train... Von Klopp's Express.... taking all hands on board when in reality, its only a couple of really good performances hitched to a stream of mediocre but scruffy wins that have had the media whores saying they can win the League. They'll have their talisman ex skipper warming up on the pitch with them next...and the t shirt printers cracking their knuckles in anticipation. Best leave the year off, this time though, hey.

RAWK lolol

Re: Newcastle United 2-0 Liverpool FT

Time to look ahead to West Brom. Hopefully those players that didn't play as well as usual today can contribute to a thrashing of some sorts, perhaps 5-0. And from there, it'll be plain sailing.

Credit to Newcaste, the pressed for 90 minutes in a way which normally isn't possible but probably they saved all their energy so far this season for this game.

Does anyone know if the pitch was waterlogged? It seemed almost every pass was bogged down in mud no matter how hard they were hitting it.

West Brom should be very [Poor language removed] scared, because I hope our team and our manager are [Poor language removed] pissed off with today's result.

Yup. The boys are in for a hard week from Jurgen and are going to take it out on either Sion or Pulis's boys.

Chance missed to close the gap on our title rivals.

Ah well we could have gone just 3 points behind leaders it makes it even more frustrating. [Poor language removed] happens doesn't it.
