ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Stoke - 4th official too slow (?) plus Butland fannies around on the edge of his area. 2 points down to good luck (ok we have to live with that one I guess)

Bournemouth - dubious disallowed goal for Bmouth, offside winner for The RS - 3 points down to dubious officials
Arsenal - oppos onside goal given offside - 1 point down to dubious officials

The corrected League table

14 Liverpool 3 -1 3

You could possibly throw in the Loveren elbow in the Stoke game as well. As they say, its better to be lucky than good

They played quite well last night. Having said that, having had two piss easy game, and one more difficult game they have managed a grand total of 2 goals (one of which was about 6 yards offside). Sooner or later sides will work out how to get at the defensively, (mignolet in particular looks back to his usual self of being a liability off crosses).

It only takes one game for them to fall behind and I don't think they have anywhere near enough creativity to break teams down. If West Ham get the first goal next week, I think they probably win. Liverpool are a side set up to stifle the opposition. At present their defence holds strong but it won't take long for it to lose a bit of confidence.

From the match yesterday I couldn't help but laugh at Milner. They have made him the captain after 2 games for the club. This is your classic small club mentality, of picking a new signing and giving him the armband. What makes it worse, is they have picked an absolute also-ran and reserve player for one of their rivals to give it too. The idea City are in any way bothered that they have lost Milner when they have Silva, Sterling, Toure and Aguero is laughable. It shows what a small club they have become elevating him to captain and also the chronic lack of quality and leadership they now have.

Finally Milner is meant to be this box to box destroyer "never stops running" "chases and harry's all over the park" etc etc if you listen to their fans. Yesterday he was bent over on his haunches after 50 minutes, just 5 minutes into the second half. He has a terrible engine and looks like he is carrying a stone more than he ought. He simply does not have the engine to perform the pressing game, and we are into week 3 of the season. Whatever people say about Henderson, the one attribute he does have is that he is mobile and has a decent engine. The idea that Milner can replicate that is disastrous and pretty soon Henderson will be left to cover his ground like he is expecting to cover Gerrards before hand.

To be fair it wasn't a bad result away at arsenal - however in terms of respective starts I think winning away at southampton is more Impressive than a couple of fortunate wins. I'd say we have had the better start.

i don't think soton will be any good this season, being brutally honest.

Rog Bennett on MiB does the best Brenda impersonation.

"I TAUGHT HIM ALL THAT! Oh he (Benetke) missed.....its his fault. "
