The Echo are doing some useful work, atm. Trying to calm the anger of the Kopites toward the no mark. A few articles stating Rodgers credentials to soldier on in the job next season.

Excellent work.

Mind you, if all the Kopites on here who were calling for Martinez's head a few weeks back and voting in this forum's polls for it to happen are now back on their own forums, Rodgers doesn' stand a chance.

seriously, who in the liverpool squad is CL quality?
Good question but what is the measure of Champions League quality? Are we talking about a player who can compete in the higher echelons?

Then clearly there is nobody bar possibly Sturridge, however I'd like to see him consistently without Suarez. There are still doubts over his him.

Or good enough to tread water and not be completely over shadowed? Still, there aren't many: Coutinho; Sterling; possibly Can.

Overall, they're clearly a squad littered with average to good Premiership players, yet you wouldn't get many Liverpool fans accepting that.

Those 1970s and 1980s tinted glasses that they all where every single day makes looking at mediocrity an almost impossible task.

I actually find it difficult to read the Echo as it is utterly cringe worthy; an abomination. That's even before their overt Red bias.

They would tell the world Jimmy Saville wasn't a sexual deviant if it kept their legions of Reds reading and clicking (well looking at the pictures).

It's a terrible paper. But I welcome their backing for Gnashers. He has to stay. We cant risk Liverpool getting a manager in who can adequately use cash to get them CL every season.

You'd hardly expect the local paper to clamour for the head of the manager of either Everton or Liverpool (unless we're talking Mike Walker levels of awfulness perhaps).

Yes. They didn't count that you would intervene in the matter however.
