ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I would normally post :bye: for a laugh, as some of my posts are seen as controversial or downright BS. Although im sure the 'haters' or the wind up merchants such as Del wouldnt offend me with such venom.

I always hated Phil Thompson and Jamie Carragher for the crap the spout but i later realised that they are blindly in love with their team mixed with a bit of hate, but most of us hate them too, so pot, kettle, black..........

John Aldridge on the other hand just seems to be clinging onto the fact he is a LFC fan just to feel relevant in life. Thats how i would describe most of them across the park, scarfs, megastore bags, hat with badges, crap banners spouting the sort of nonsence that one of those ISIS converts send out on video links.

I would much rather have KKK across my fod walking through toxteth during the riots or maybe turn up in a synagogue with a pro-hitler armband, they really are a cult who believe themselves to be superior over all no matter what. First it was league titles until Fergie knocked them off their perch, now it is the holy grail of European cups, next superiority will be based on league cups and so on........ maybe they will enter the johnstones paint trophy to remain relevant as der bestest club in der wurld.

I dont let them get to me though :coffee:

Given your location my friend, how did you become a Blue?
Hahaha oh really another one?

Why do they all start off pretending their blues? If not as if they've got something massively to be massively ashamed of is it?

Oh hang on, yeah. Pretending to be a blue must be a therapeutic release for them. We've not mortally halmed anyone, stole tickets or been classed by UEFA as the worst fans on the continent. We don't even sway ambulances.

And not one of them from near the city themselves. The replica top may impress whatever little backwards inbred village they're from but on here, nah, we know what you are. Your own local fans can't stand you.

But the club shop loves you.

Has anyone else noticed that commentators no longer refer to the RS as Liverpool but as Liverpool Football Club, sonorously enunciated
"bla bla bla that cheating diving bellend Seevie Me is the perfect captain for Liverpool Football Club"

This beaut is actually Norwegian!

And he's calling Everton fans bitter!

Who's your local team Lars? What has the city if Liverpool got to do with you?

Sound, stick to your UN fishing quotas and being insignificant you nugget.

His name's not Lars mate, it's Sverre.

If he leaves here and you want to keep in touch then https://twitter.com/roxsteaddy is the place to go, allegedly.

Stop talking sense, its not what this threads about. Please go back to pure bitterness

Nobody is bitter here mate. We just happen to think that being 5th in the league, being dumped out of Europe by top class opposition (like Basel!) at the first attempt doesn't happen to make Liverpool the best team in the world. It makes them what they are, a mediocre side, miles away from the top teams and miles away from winning anything. That's not bitter it's just fact.

Rodgers: Henderson can be Liverpool's new Gerrard
Henderson has flourished under Rodgers's tutelage alongside Gerrard after initially struggling in his early days at Anfield, and his manager is confident the 24-year-old can step into the former England skipper's shoes.
"I think Jordan Henderson has all the leadership attributes, that was one of the reasons I made him vice captain...he had no greater captain to learn from than Steven," Rodgers told reporters. "He was benefiting from his example even before he was vice captain, but certainly in that new role he has been in pole position in terms of learning from a great, how the job works on and off the field.

Rodgers: Stop comparing Henderson to Gerrard
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that Jordan Henderson should not be labelled as "the next Steven Gerrard".
"You should stop trying to put pressure on Jordan Henderson," Rodgers told reporters.
"Just because Jordan takes corners, doesn't mean he's the next Steven Gerrard. Just because he shoots from outside box, doesn't mean he's the next Steven Gerrard.

The hypocrisy continues. Pearce has done a big piece in todays Anfield Bugle, the gist being that all the Henderson for Gerrard talk has given Henderson and his people the fuel to broker a raise more commensurate to the skipper hes "replacing"...or "not replacing", dependent seemingly, on what month it is......
Currently on £65,000 per week, the Reds offered him £80,000 per week. That was swiftly rejected with Henderson wanting around £120,000 per week.
Liverpool have a headache because all the talk about the captaincy has complicated matters.
In five months time Henderson could be leading the Reds into the 2015/16 campaign. As a result his camp insist he should command a similar kind of salary to the outgoing Gerrard and be among the club’s highest earners.
Liverpool don’t agree. Rodgers isn’t involved in contract negotiations but publicly he has recently played down talk of Henderson being the heir to Gerrard’s throne.

Well he started it.

Well he started it.

It is funny like you say, if you start calling Sterling the best young prospect in Europe (i believe rodgers may of said that) then he is going to want the wages to reflect that, if you say Henderson is the leader of the team then you pay him to be the main man. Personally i think the manager should be the highest paid as the leader, followed by his captain, followed by key first teamers. If your a young prodigy then you should be paid a base rate with performance related rises.

Like they say Brenda Put your money were your mouth is. F'in Knashers.

Well he started it.

It is superb really. They talk up their players beyond their worth and then get slapped in the chops when they have to start paying them insane amounts of money. if they give Henderson 120 and Stirling 150k per week they are mad. I hope they do, but knowing the prudent yanks they won't. It is going to be a funny on going soap opera.
