I laugh at today's headline 'Rodgers happy fate is in reds hands'. Win, lose or draw last night, it depended on Basle not getting a point in the Real game. Rodgers has somehow managed to spin this to suggest that the feeble draw last night meant they are still in the competition.

i laughed when i read those comments. "i could have asked for more" he said about needing a win going into last game. Things brendan rodgers could have asked for which would have been "more":

• Already qualified as group winners
• not lost a game
• not conceded a goal
• won every game
• already qualified
• require a draw to go through
• the possibility of losing the game and still be able to go through

things rodgers couldn't have asked more of:

• need a win to go through
• winning and it still not being enough
• already being eliminated

yep, they picked on our numbers in russia, but have ignored the mass that travelled to the other two, or the few have said "what do you expect, it's only france" etc. ignoring the fact these are midweek games. they'd kill for fans like ours, instead of the embarassing, murder, whoppers they have that make up the majority.
