In case you wondered how United are doing, RAWK sums it up elegantly...

Man Utd have 28 games remaining, of which 11 are par 1 matches and 17 are par 3.

17x3=51
+11=62

If they were to play to par for the remainder of the season, they would score another 62 points, which added to their 13 so far would give them 75.

What's interesting is that they still have 11 par 1 matches to play. Each of those is, on paper, a chance to make up ground on the APLT. If they were to win them all, they'd gain 22 points to par. Assuming they also won all of their par 3 games, that would give them a final APLT total of +7 and a points total of 97. But to do that, they would need to win 28 matches on the run, which is double their previous best ever league run.

So err.. there you go peeps.. United are doing.. um.. er.. golf.

Id be fairly happy with that fixture list.
Beat Stoke, Sunderland, Leicester, Swansea at home Draw to Arsenal, beat Leicester & burnley away & lose to Man Utd & that's 6 wins out of there next 8 league games, easily catch up to forth bewtween now and the new year id say

According to my permutations, their WHOPPR(Whiny Hypocritical Observation Per Page Representation) and BELLEND(Beauts Entering Lots and Lots of Extremely Nonsensical Data) percentage is heading for a round of 63.

Here is a question a red would ask you.

Would you rather be doing badly in the champions league but at least be there (considering money was spent) or doing well in the europa for less prestige?

There's a lot more money in the Champions League, even in the group stages, so that's definitely an advantage. It's a pity they'll spunk it all on complete tripe.

CL all day long. It's like saying would you rather be permanently staving off relegation from the prem or consistently challenging for the Championship.

On paper you might be happy with that but look at the dates of those fixtures all no more than 4 days between each game. Stoke are never a pushover. They have the must win Basel Fixture wedged between Sunderland at home and United away. Some players may even be rested in the Sunderland game preparing for Basel which could allow for Sunderland to get something out of that. The Bournemouth awaygame is wedged between United away and Arsenal at home so can't see them putting a strong side out to Bournemouth which may result in them exiting the league cup!

Anyone noticed Brenda's voice in the last few weeks, has lost that shankley-esque tone? He know's he's on borrowed time. Seems low on confidence, for a change.

Starting to see calls for the starfish to be made manager. God, I hope so. From one underqualified, tactially inept moron to another. Gerrard - perfect model of discipline, tactical nous and team spirit. Or not.
