England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed he will use a sports psychiatrist in the lead-up to the World Cup - naming Dr Steve Peters as the man who will help prepare his players for the challenges in Brazil.

Peters, who has worked closely with Liverpool and has a long-standing relationship with England captain Steven Gerrard, will be involved with Hodgson's squad and the manager is pleased to have him on board.

'It is not just any psychiatrist,' he said. 'It is Dr Steve Peters, who is a very famous man in that area.

'He has a great CV of working in different sports and has been doing some work with Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers so Steve knows him well.

'It is something we have spoken about for some time but we wanted to get the right man - luckily Brendan let me talk to Steve and he has accepted our invitations so we are happy with that.'

Seems like another person that is not as good as the RS dominated media would have us believe.

I don't think Rodgers actually watches LFC play.

“Our passing disappointed me,” the Liverpool manager said. “We played more long passes than West Ham and that is something you have not seen from us in over the two years".

Last season Gerrard hoofed the ball forward 350 times, that was more than any other player in the Premier league.

The list of reasons why the RS aren't doing well is growing by the minute.

There should be a bookmark for the Crystanbul pages- they truely were a couple of diamond pages :)
That was a great night but maybe we have lost sight of the fact that the comeback by Palace didn't really affect the outcome of the Premiership. The Slippy v Chelsea match was my personal fave last season.

The gifs that resulted from it and the memes were brilliant, but personally I almost empathise with him for that slip. Still I do chuckle when I hear this does not slip now.. Deliciously ironic.

Does anyone else think that the book cover is odd? It looks like Saurez is taking the p out of Brenda and Henry.
I love one of the reviews on Amazon re: the cover;

Nobody on the cover has eyes.
That's because they literally cried their eyes out when Gerrard fell over and did the world a favour.
