it was a great result for them, no point in them being deluded and pretending they're in a title chase. they got thrashed by a team in second gear that just lost to stoke.

Yep, we're in the same boat. Like I said earlier in the thread, we can all laugh at Pool but they look like finishing in the Top 4 FAR more than Everton and Man Utd do.

They won't get near the league title though.

I admire your confidence. I personally think Everton have been found out - Martinez had the expected "first season effect." You'll find this season far more difficult. Remember, you still have the same manager that relegated Wigan despite his pretty football. I really like him as a man and a manager but his teams are notoriously easy to play against. You've shipped goals for fun every match so far - that will be a huge problem in the long term.

You're all very quick to write United off after just a few matches yet refuse to acknowledge that you have some very mediocre players yourself. Remember, we haven't played ONE match yet with our first teamers. We've had no Rafael, Carrick, Shaw, Rojo, Di Maria, Herrera, Blind etc. I'd love to see how you perform without Baines, Coleman, Distin, Barry, McCarthy etc.

Time will tell.
