Lovren on Football Focus: piece kicks off with the Balkan War start to life....he and his family were safely tucked up in Germany for years before it kicked off. No matter, let's not spoil a good story with the truth.

Of course, it's only since he signed for the KKKult that this story is deemed 'newsworthy' by the Paedo Channel.

Interesting to see their academy has failed them again. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...ws/liverpool-fc-youngsters-must-raise-7692778

Flanagan: is he the only one in the past ten years or so that's come through and established a place? I can only remember Warnock before that. Sterling was a hefty half million quid purchase from QPR academy, so I wouldn't include him.

They may as well close that place in Kirkby down. It must be the most expensive failure in western European football.

Yeah....must be totally demoralising for their academy lads knowing they've nothing to look forward to there as they'll be sold off by a manager who prefers to spray money round like a slurry pump on older players. So much for the John Henry ideal of a couple of years ago that they should just invest in young players. Wasn't too long ago that Dalglish was heralding the likes of Conor Coady as the future of the club...and he ends up at Huddersfield. I know all clubs do it in degrees...not, however, with the hypocrisy of the RS

so liverpool have sold suarez, agger, reina and kelly in this window :s

it's possible people would have all 4 in their best XI - although i think mignolet is better than reina myself.

they have definitely been weakened rather than strengthened this summer.

Shocking success rate over the last decade and a half. And let's face it, the two who have made a position their own (up until last season with Flanagan anyway), neither are what you'd describe as outstanding.

I think they should have given Ibe a chance to bed in with the first team squad this year. He looks promising, but as you said gnashers is spending money like a drunken sailor and doesn't want the effort of bringing him through...which is strange from the manager who self proclaims his own *reputation in the game* for enjoying bringing the best out of players.

As said, they should dismantle that place in Kirkby. They robbed that land anyway from the people of Knowsley with the help of KBC. Paid a million for it and were given swathes of land more than they needed that they then sold off for a profit for LFC.

Since then the bar has been raised considerably. Liverpool are no longer bobbing around in sixth or seventh in the Premier League and gracing the Europa League.

lol. wonderful quote, one season after a few in a row of finishing in those positions and all of a sudden they're no longer bobbing around ha. wait until the end of the season when they'll be there again and it'll be about 4 out of 5 seasons finishing around 6th-8th.

Unlike at other top clubs, there remains a clear pathway through to Melwood. Rodgers has repeatedly demonstrated his willingness to put his faith in youth and that isn’t about to change.

another wonderful quote.

i'm sure we can pull up examples of all the other top 7 as having a higher success rate than liverpool

The thing is though, they gave the only others to have made first team appearances Spearing, Kelly, Wisdom and Pacheco about 25 games between all of them during the period they have been out of the CL places. Posh lad Pearce's reasoning is of the usual high standard we expect of him.
