Bet the next dozen threads get locked too then. He's made all the mentalists off RAWK look, well...mental, with their explanations of how it wasn't a bite, yet again.

They look mental anyway, but his "apology" (if you want to call it that) hasn't made them look any moreso, since he hasn't said that he bit Chiellini
Barcelona have probably insisted on an apology for the transfer to go ahead. So Suarez has flipped, either lying in the apology or to FIFA.
Chiellini has also flipped, from demanding FIFA act swiftly to being all buddy-buddy with Suarez.
What in the heck is going on behind the scenes?
That's the thing though - he's basically trying to get the "credit" for apologising without actually doing it."Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite"....Suarez was the only other player in that "collision", Suarez's mouth is the one that provided the bite....it's all Uruguyan/Kopite semantics, but for the rest of humanity that's an admission

What he's done is the equivalent to me saying "i really regret that you suffered the physical effects of a punch" - leaves me completely free to continue to assert you ran into my fist.
If he was really sincerely sorry, he'd've said "i lost my temper and reacted in an indefensible manner by biting my opponent. I deeply regret this and it will never happen again"... but he doesn't, he says "my colleague Chiellini suffered the physical effects of a bite in our collision"
Ridiculous that this is being seen as him holding his hands up and pleading guilty.
not really... it's an expression of regret for the outcome, not of guilt for his actions. It's an admission of guilt, just not as clear as you'd like.
I get this sinking feeling that the appeal will now see FIFA greatly reduce the length and severity of the ban.Chiellini is just as interesting though. Completely changed his tune.
it'll help them get more money.I get this sinking feeling that the appeal will now see FIFA greatly reduce the length and severity of the ban.
Not that it will help the RS in any way as he will be gone.
It expresses regret, apologises to Chiellini and vows there will never be another similar incident....you don't do that for an accidental incident.not really... it's an expression of regret for the outcome, not of guilt for his actions.
He vows he won't do it again. That's good enough for me.
They why not just apologise properly instead of all this hedging cr*p? Horrible little snake that he is.It expresses regret, apologises to Chiellini and vows there will never be another similar incident....you don't do that for an accidental incident.
