Suarez should have listened in May 2013,

Luis Suarez will not be banned for allegedly punching Chile defender Gonzalo Jara while playing for Uruguay.

The Liverpool striker, who is currently serving a 10-game domestic ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, was investigated following the incident during a World Cup qualifying match in March.

Reports in South America had claimed Suarez was reacting to West Brom's Jara grabbing his genitals.

'The president of the disciplinary commission of FIFA has decided that this matter does not require the intervention of the disciplinary commission of FIFA and therefore this procedure is now closed,' the Uruguayan FA said.

AUF president Sebastian Bauza, who has claimed Suarez is persecuted, especially in England, said the forward needed to realise that he was being scrutinised.

'It's very good news for Luis, the national team and for the whole group,' he said.

'We understand that from now on, Luis should realise that he will be watched from all sides and we hope that this experience, when added to others, will be useful, so that he becomes the player will all want him to be.'

Suarez will miss Uruguay's next qualifier in Venezuela on June 11 following an accumulation of bookings.

Seems like FIFA took a day of from their witch hunt against Suarez.

Surely this transfer madness cannot go on. Utd are to spend £30+M on Shaw and the RS £25M on this new piece of tosh.......

Ayre flashing the wallet like a sailor on shore leave for a player who is worth 10-15m tops. Flair player on his day, but style over substance when their defence is like balsa wood. Another hole in their colander of a side....bravo.

What makes me laugh, is in January, and they cant stop conceding goals, Branda will say how his club cant compete financialy and United, Chelsea & City are inflating the marker.

He did it last season, moaning about not having money....after spending £25 million on 2 centre backs he wont play.

Lallana wasn't really a big hit when he came on for England in the world cup. Where will he fit in? Plan A lump it to Sturridge with Lallana hanging around looking for the ball. Plan B lump it to Lambo and Sturridge with Lallana hanging around. The RS are looking worse by the hour, they'll be lucky to finish 8th. this season.

LOL 25m

He's good but he's no where near worth that much. he'll be slightly better than Downing was for them.
The transfer just doesn't make sense. Not only is he not what they need but he doesn't suit their style of play. Unless Brent is visioning playing Tika Taka again, suddenly remembering his press conference.

There is no value in Lallana, especially for that figure doing the rounds. If he ends up being a flop, which to be honest, is usually the norm at Liverpool, they will get no where near that price when they punt him on.

A panic signing in the month of June. Love it

He really doesn't learn. In the end purely having a great attack won't work, last season the 50 goals conceded ultimately cost them.

So what does Brent do? He goes and buys a load of new, overpriced attackers. It's brilliant and as you say makes no sense.

It'll get to the point where the money will get so mad that the entire footballing industry will collapse I think

Long way from that yet though

Basically, when tickets prices get so out of control that no one can afford to go the match anymore, the TV product will suffer and the TV rights will go down, meaning clubs just won't be able to afford to spend so much and there'll be a host of players who will have priced themselves out of the market
