ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

He's gone. Just a matter of liverpol biting the bullet on a cut price deal.

There's no way back for him in this country. As soon as he opened his grid post England game he revealed he was unlikely to come back here. This biting incident will merely involve a recalibration of the price. Liverpool bosses in Barcelona today to meet the rats lawyer and agent. There's no way the mountain goes to Mohammed for a meeting just about how they'll respond to a ban...and certainly not in a city where a courting club is based.

I reckon LFC are going to let barca worry about the ban and just get as good a deal cash wise as possible. I could see them insisting on no makeweight player deal, just cash.
Absolutely 100% agree with this.

He's gone. He's been pissing in the wind for 3 years. I would of liked to have seen him in that shirt for another year at least, because he really was making his presence felt and jack hammering a hole for Liverpool.

Still at least one of the last memories we have of him in that shirt is watching him balling his eyes out, soaking his shirt with tears at Selhurst Park. A great summer ahead.

Agreed. He's been a great bunch of lads.

I genuinely will be sorry to see him go - other than for the derbies.

He could never win anything with that lot. And he turned them into a bigger circus than usual.

God bless you Luis. All the best for the future in Catalonia.

I think it's moot anyway because the likelihood is liverpool won't be suffering in that way as he'll be elsewhere. But the issue over wages would go straight to the heart of that club v country conflict whereby clubs are punished in terms of injuries, suspensions etc. If Liverpool kept him I could see them going to court, not against Suarez but with FIFA, on that issue.

I think he will still be there next season - even the loon Arab-money clubs would surely balk at paying £80 million for someone who has very little CL experience, who has now been banned for the equivalent of one season out of four (and banned for absolutely idiotic things at that), and who can be guaranteed to want a new contract every 9-12 months.

Which leaves them with the problem of whether or not to sue FIFA. They might try it - lets face it they have zero shame in that regard as we all know - but its hard to see how they could ever hope to win, given that sanctions of that kind have existed for years.

25 million, hahahahahaha.

Maybe Lallana is actually an Evertonian after all. Just needs to ask for ridiculously high wages that don't match his ability now. And be average for them, which shouldn't bee too difficult.

Shipped 50 goals, which quite clearly lost them the title as well as the slip and they're buying 2 strikers, and 2 midfielders. MAKES SENSE.

Is right Brenda, you continue a long line of tradition of absolutely spunking a shed load of cash on average players will do us nicely. 25m ffs, tidy player but wouldn't want to be spending any more than 12-14m on him
