ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

The thing is, this background is exactly why we love Luis. Those instincts are what sets him apart from the rest. How many times have we seen him predict the seemingly unpredictable (Uruguays 2nd against England?) or fight his way through an avalanche of tackles, miraculously keeping the ball for us to score (v Man United setting up Kuyt). Players like that don't come from academies, they are created in the hell that is a latin favela. If we want to have a player like that then we will have to accept the occassional moment of madness.

Or as can also be said "We don't care what a player does or how bad it tarnishes our reputation, so long as win"

Isn't it weird how none of the other "best players in the world" have to bite people or have "occasional moments of madness", and yet are still brilliant?

People are actually happy with this decision?

Got off very lightly. If the ban was missing the rest of the world cup and then 4 months of the Premier League season - then I'd be happy.

not long enough, but rather more than i expected

Completely agree. I am surprised with FIFA. He deserved longer, but this is more than I thought FIFA would give him. 4 months for any football-related activity. Does that include training with Liverpool as well?
