Up until the aftermath of tin mine derby, that was perhaps a valid criticism (though remember the amount of times he has made a successful sub) - however since that horror show he has demonstrated that he can and will change tactics, probably with the Arsenal game being the best example.

That was my concern also, as you say he seems to have rectified that, the performances against Arsenal and Man Utd would back this up.
