One Evertonian is worth 20 kopites...there's a reason for that, in that we react accordingly. Chanting "murderers" at them isn't it.

They need reminding of their history. As they easily use it to their own advantage.

Of course we have some bellend fans. But murderers isnt directed towards hillsborough, is it?

Clearly, it's not.

The point is using human tragedy to mock the opposition:

Liverpool fans do it to mock Man Utd fans (Munich)
Liverpool fans do it to express mock-outrage at Evertonians (Hillsborough...the misunderstanding of the "victims" chant)
Evertonians do it to mock Liverpool fans (Heysel...the "murderers" chant)


All three are unacceptable behaviour in my view...but if this thread (and threads on rawk) is anything to go by, then not much will change.

I agree mate, we don't cover ourselves in glory shouting the murderers to them. Mainly due to the insensitivity towards the Italians rather than the ********s .

But this isn't about that, they're accusing us, Everton and its fans of mocking hillsborough after years and years of support towards them without proof. That's as scummy as it gets that

Sent the following -

Perhaps your newspaper should consider whether it is apt of John Aldridge to be associated with your publication.

I ask this after his slur that 50% of Everton fans at Anfield sang abusive songs, on a day when LFC fans thanked EFC fans for their support for the JFT96 campaign.

Lets remember this is a Liverpool fan and former player who once on a local radio programme suggested that Liverpool should not expect decisions from referee Howard Webb as he was a former Yorkshire policeman.

Disgraceful.
