Liverpool had a goal ruled out for offside. We had a goal ruled out against Newcastle, had an unfair sending off against QPR, and were all over Fulham for the entire game.

Even if you discount the Fulham game we'd still be 7 points clear using the 'if liverpool had won' logic.
