ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

If this isn't a WUM then it just cements what a "special" breed they are... ?

Incredible stuff.
I can’t say I’ve felt grief exactly for celebrities dying but I’ve been sad when the likes of Alan Rickman, Brittany Murphy were taken too soon and obviously when footballing greats like Howard Kendall passed.
I’ve never in my life thought of comparing Seamus or Gomes getting snapped to an actual death!

Reading twitter a bit today and it suddenly struck me what Liverpool fans are trying to achieve: they want to be the Millwall of the 2020s. They want all other fans to hate them.

Laughable really given that every British institution lies down for them and treats them more preferentially than any club that's ever existed outside of Franco's Real Madrid.

I don't think they have the self awareness to appreciate this though. They genuinely believe that they are being misjudged and that everyone else has in wrong. I'm enjoying the show to be honest.

On the rs bad behaviour front;
iirc, the last time The Queen was the official guest of honour at a FA Cup final was 1965 and the rs sang a very humorous 'God save our TEAM'
1966, Margaret got the gig and it's been passed around ever since.

It's old hat most of all. Booing the national anthem. Talk about reinventing the wheel.

Welcome to the 1980s.

1976 was her last mate. RIP Bobby Stokes. I enjoyed that nearly as much as Sunderland doing Leeds in 73, and West Ham doing Arsenal in 80.
