ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Some great comments on the last couple of pages. As a southern toffee I’ve always just been accepted at games as a blue because we’re all in this together, a blues a blue.

The kopites seem to think they need a tier system of how much of a super red you are, probably driven by how many weirdos they have who are desperate to be one of the cult and be accepted, and honestly I can see why the more normal fans don’t want to be associated with all that!
It's a knobhead knockout basically ;)

Dave you need to go on their stadium tour as you need to open your eyes to the great work they've done in the area.

Big stand was an investment in the area and those residents that were uprooted were resettled an compensated suitably. The club were doing them a favour and you will walk away thinking they should be applauded, perhaps even commended for what they did.

Just to be absolutely clear, you won't hear anything abt compulsory purchase orders etc
So lfc buy houses leave them empty and tinned up therefore market value of one's that are left has dropped then they buy them up cheaper than the year before the club drove the price down paid above that price" above market value" so the club say people were paid handsomely for the property, the last ones remaining had no choice but to take the money and run they were surrounded by squalor empty houses left to rot rats everywere, don't tell me they should be applauded it was a disgrace the conditions people left were surrounded with. Communities took generations to build community was more than shops an businesses it was families friends relationships all existed from grandparents grandparents aunts uncles cousins neighbours people knew helped each other it was destroyed,if the club did what they did it may have been different if it never took absolute years to do it was a gradual decline into degradation of the area that lfc managed if it was quicker then not as bad but people living in squalor was wrong, they then build big stand and help run a few local charities etc plant a few trees spruce the area surrounding their club at a fraction of what salah and his wages cost, and say hey we did this we did that we improved this blah blah they destroyed it don't tell me otherwise my family friends will tell you the same. There's your article to an LFC site saying how they help now in these bad times where were they during them bad times not helping thats for sure.there's loads of articles out there some in national news papers highlighting the bad the club done to the area.

I though the original poster was being sarcastic, the last lines implied that

William was at Wembley as FA President the last time the RS did it so I wouldn't blame him having a say in it cos of the disrespect for his Grandmother. Par for the course for them and one of the unique RS selling points - spoiling things for every bleedin' one else.
In fairness it has just been on Sky with pictures that Liverpool have donated a few trays of sandwiches and sausage rolls to local food banks.
I was quite emotional with the generosity but in fairness it would have brought a tear to a glass eye.

I saw that. I read that Man City did the same but Sky only mention the RS ?

I agree mate it is a disgrace.

And every hour 3 or 4 stadium tours of fans/tourists get told a story of how the club generously supported the local community and rehoused residents. Lying to not only save face, but cast themselves in a positive light.

I said this the other day, Liverpool at home to Wolves, they would of acted disgraceful, no wonder Golf, Cricket and Rugby can go ahead, there are a lot of reasons why football can't and this could actually be one
