ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

MAX MATHEWS FOR MAILONLINE

Liverpool release eye-catching new teal third kit along with banner with 97 stars to represent the Reds' away wins and trophies in Europe - but it will set fans back nearly £70!

  • Premier League side Liverpool have launched their new third kit for this season
  • The eye-catching teal shirt with bright red trim will cost supporters almost £70
  • It is released with a 97-star banner to represent the club's away wins in Europe

Regrettably, the accompanying video filmed at The Olympia is too sickening to be included here so near to when some people may be eating their tea.

I would suggest the 97 stars represent sommet else, y'know.

The corporatisation of a human catastrophe.

It's what they do. It's who they are.

Bullets in the post to The Morning Star:

"Just before kick off, some Liverpool fans displayed a Steaua Bucharest banner in the away end.
This is a reference to English clubs being banned from European competition for years from 1985 as a result of the Heysel Stadium disaster at which 39 fans died, and after which 26 Liverpool fans were charged with manslaughter and 14 were found guilty. Everton would have qualified for the 1985/86 European Cup and were one of the best teams on the content at that time, but the ban meant they couldn’t enter. Steaua Bucharest won the 1986 final on penalties against Barcelona. For some Liverpool fans to use the deaths of football fans to score points against their rivals...is a sad state of affairs, to put it mildly."
Shocking behaviour from both sets of fans on Saturday.
10/10 for your editing though Dave. ;)

They were mastered in the derby....that's the context to everything they and the Establishment Club's media are saying right now.

They're hurting....they're hurting bad.

Klopp got bailed out in the Anfield derby last season. Blatant pen on Gordon ‘missed’, blatant red on Mane ‘missed’. Lampard has him rattled because he’s not the usual ‘I’m just so privileged to be playing Liverpool’ Everton manager type. Carlo wasn’t either and both have been good enough to match up to the best he has with considerably less.

Lampard has been the first Everton manager I remember who has put up any resistance against their relentless propaganda machine. He called out the Gordon penalty at Anfield even though the he was basically threatened immediately with an FA charge if he mentioned it at all, he corrected the interviewer after this derby who was trying to paint a narrative of Pickford getting plucky Everton a draw after being battered and was straight in with ‘Allison also had to make some big saves’, he was then raising the Van Dijk red card in the post match presser.

He won’t play the media game with that lot and they hate him for it. They want Everton managers to just play into their hands, accept their beating, and then not say anything too uncomfortable about the game in the media afterwards. Lampard’s the opposite, would love it if we won at Anfield this season with Lampard at the helm, he’d be sticking it right up them.

And what the feck is a legacy fan ? lol
I refer you to my thesis:

My understanding is its generally someone with the (now very anachronistic) approach to football of going to see their local team play matches, preferably at a time when they are taking a break from the working week (this resulted in the obviously ridiculous idea of games being played of a weekend, thankfully long consigned to history). They are often just the latest of many in their family. They'll cheer when the team plays well, but sadly can be highly intolerant at perceived lack of effort. They are also known to sing unpalatable songs at players and opposition 'legacy fans'. This used to be a working class thing and most legacy fans were regular attendees and lived nearby, but that's increasingly less so these days, particularly among the 6 'elite' clubs that rotate between the 1st and 9th positions.
Historically they created the culture and funded the success of the club, however the primary function of a legacy fan in recent years is to provide an exciting soundtrack to the more important 'customers' who watch the excitement from their front room (or local hostelry for the more 'ultra' types).

This arrangement has been problematic for the clubs as these legacy fans are often unreasonable in their demands, and owners have the inconvenience of actually facing them on match days (should they elect to visit the stadia at all), however covid has thankfully provided a solution. By creatively piping a soundtrack into the tv boxes and iPads* the need for legacy fans has been mercifully reduced. This helps the elite clubs greatly as 'customers' are generally more pliable, gullible and willing to pay staggering amounts of money to drape themselves in the finery of the club while never going anywhere near the place, or if they do its generally a shopping trip.

*the 'iPad' customers are a particularly new phenomenon and have difficulty co-existing with the legacy fans as they are often subjected to requests to demonstrate such iPads and then further subjected to vile abuse.

I'll never tire at laughing at this. lol lol lol lol lol

Tourist FC do not represent this city and the 5,832 scruffs that do go to the game still live with their mums.

Data they had to release to the gov as lockdown restrictions were eased,

5,832 legacy fans

The fact that the city is blue must absolutely turn their demented heads inside out. The 'scouse for a day' mindset is probably the root of all the trouble the mutant scruffs cause and their clinical insecurity.

Still make me laugh when he was Chelsea manager and he said “ you won the league once. Stop giving it the big un@ something along them lines at Klopp.

It was Chico on the wind up mate.

Regardless, their support is awful, and they're bad try hards.
I must have seen a doctored page, if that is his work I am impressed but it correlates with other findings.

The tier data suggested mutants with scouse post codes at 21.6%. Yougov research found that only 29% of Liverpool fans live in the North West.

Stats from Liverpool themselves about the huge impact that their fans bring to the local economy are indicative of out of town and tourist fans.

This tourist model and 'fans of the future' are the path that mordor has been heading down for decades. It is core to the owners strategic view of the legacy fans, the traditional local fan is a condemned breed over there. It is almost sad. But more funny than sad! :D

Absolute sttate of this load of bile. If ever you wanted to an example of someone displaying a total lack of self awareness or understanding this is up there with the best/worst examples.
? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Read RedBecs post just before it on that same thread referring to us, "I would ban them from Anfield ".
Them scousers eh, always misbehaving, we must stop them all going to Anfield see how their gates hold up.

The 5832 Liverpool season tickets is his work.

That^ is I'm assuming not, be some serious dedication to the wind up if it was.

Don't disagree with any of your post like, it's clear they put the eggs in the 'non-scouse' basket, more money in it.

It's why I've always said, they proper try hard. You see all sorts on that kop.
Scousers this, scousers that. It's projection at its finest.

The funny thing about the RS is they love Klopp but the fact is he’s a serial loser.

Lost the league twice on the final day
Lost 2/3 champion league finals( dodgy pen to beat Spurs)
Lost 2 Europa league finals I think
They won league cup and fa cup both on pens(which could of gone the other way)
