ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

There will be a serious incident and they will all be complicit. It's waiting to happen because no one is calling them out. The decent (yes, there are some) fans will be the ones to suffer.

The media and politicians fall into two categories: those that know it's all BS but they better fall in behind it in case they get targeted themselves by the cult; and those that have gone native and are completely immersed in the swivel eyed culture of the cult.

The Paris riot has brought them both out in massive numbers.

Just listen to this posh lads accent.

He hasnt got a clue. Hes obviously lived his entire life with a silver spoon, and a plum in his mouth, and cant behind to comprehend that his attitude is actually extremely insulting and nauseating to people.

Like how has he even managed to get a ticket? Or did he buy a fake, or was he there without a ticket to just add to the chaos? I'd love a journalist to ask this, rather than just pandering to his white, posh, male entitlement that oozes out of him.

Well, to this observer, thats exactly what did happen. Gassed, missed the match, with real tickets, directly because of the behaviour of other fans.

That's a really important point, and I said as much there.

I have sympathy for those fans.

The reality is though, LFC fans were posting on social media, bragging about "blagging" into the ground. They do that, because they know they get a positive reaction, and they did. 90% of reds were laughing along, encouraging it in the comments.

None seem to make the connection, that those scumbags helped cause the decent fans not to see the game. They should be called out.

In your more reflective moment if you're one of those innocent Liverpool fans - even if you copped for an eye full of pepper spray on the night - you'd be thankful that those coppers did their job that night.

It really doesn't bear thinking about what would have happened if all those with tickets - genuine and fake - had gotten into that stadium. I'd rather be outside coughing and spluttering for a few hours than standing in a ground with 3x the capacity it was supposed to hold.

The media don't even dare an attempt at balanced reporting, at the least.

I'm not at all surprised by that in 2022, but the extent of it is still a little shocking.

There should be no place whatsoever for naked bias or tribalism in any form of reporting. Even sports journalism is in the gutter now.

Its all gonna fall apart next season.

They will struggle without 5head cos that Diaz is utter pony.

Unfortunately I think they will be up there next season.

I think though, over 38 games City will have too much again. Theyve won it this season without a striker, and added 2 brilliant ones now, one of the probably in the top 3 in world football. I suspect City get 100 points again if they need it.

Not sure LFC can keep pace with that, but they will give it a good go.

They will compete for as long as Klopp is there, as painful as it is, he is without doubt a top 3 Manager in the world.

I dont want to get enormously into it, but nobody should be pepper sprayed. It's out of line.

However, they couldn't open the gates. The ground was clearly full. It would have been dangerous to do so. Anyway who has any understanding of football safety knows that.

There are lots of factors that led to that, of which there is certainly some blame on the ground security, but the decision not to allow overcrowding was a sensible one.

As I've said, I feel sorry for the people who had bought a genuine ticket, through the club, who were unable to gain access.

Gone native ffs. Haha.

Yes and probably yes. I dont see any massive fall out from that.

If Salah is in a more secular than cyclical decline, that would have an impact though.
Their key players are all pushing 30. Salah, Mane, Firminho, VVD, Allison and that's not to mention the OAPs Milner and Henderson.

In less than 5 years that squad will be dismantled and there's no guarantee they'll get the same quality players back in. Klopp won't want to be around for that major surgery, he'll be off to a different European club, probably in Italy or Spain

Yes that's fair. Theyve done a pretty good job with replacing them though, Jota and Dias look good like for like replacements. Elliot is talented as a younger player.

Klopp is a big plus for them. I still think at some point he may jib it. If they have a poor season next season or whatever.

Hes done a great job, but they have a top 5, and sometimes top 3 wage bill in world football. Hes won 1 league in 7 years. So the counter is, hes not actually that good at winning leagues.

I'd never write them off though I was quite confident Madrid would beat them, to the extent I watched the whole game, something I never ever do with them. I avoid watching them live and haven't done so in years. They looked quite mediocre. But as I say their ability to come up smelling of roses is unsurpassed.

If it was City they were playing on Saturday, they would have wiped the floor with them. They were up against the one club that doesn't see themselves as inherently inferior to them. It's the opposite, Real expected to win and the 90 minutes bore that out entirely.
