ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

They say the Irish invented revolution, but the French have alway,s taken it to another level. How many times have Parisians taken to streets only to be confronted by the authorities who dont hesitate with baton charges, tear gas, water cannons and guard dogs etc. They dont discriminate with nationals, had the Madrid fans behaved the way the minority of scum did and completely ruined the whole experience of the majority hard working Liverpool supporters some with their kids. The authorities would have meeted out the same treatment. Always the victom mentality just dose,nt wash here.
shame they had that late lunch June 14 1940.

We should listen to you because you were there right?
No, listen to the very reputable journalists who were there, and ask yourself, do you think 40,000 people turned up to the stadium with fake tickets? They've also said 70% of the capacity tried to use fake tickets - which would have meant 175,000 people turned up.

That doesn't add up.

Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin says that 70% of Liverpool fans' tickets at the initial filtering stage were fake (around 40,000), and that the head of police made the decision to remove this check due to crowding issues.

That is utter drivel, and we all know it.

Maybe some were Liverpool fans as in I don't know, a lad from Saint-Denis might support Liverpool?

They have been reported to be local youths who jumped the fence into the stadium, which is what started the tear gassing.

Right, so if part of that crowd act up, by climbing fences, then there’s gonna be a reaction from the police.

Note the bit where the club are called out for not organising travel. Real did via official coaches.
But he said 30,000 to 40,000 Liverpool fans had turned up for the game either without tickets or with counterfeit tickets.
I wonder if Klopp will shoulder some of the blame for encouraging fans to go over without tickets as well

Bayern reasonable on Thiago's price considering they touted his as 'one of the best in the world' yet wanting an extortionate price for Mane

Hope he stays and has a crap season, leaving for free

How does a 30 year old player be more expensive than when they bought him? They paid 32m for him and they literally all their money back?

Why does every club bend over for Liverpool on transfers ffs

Right, the French government are claiming that 30-40k turned up with fake tickets

That would mean there were 60,000 people at one end of the ground - as in outside the stadium?

No, there weren't. And we all know it. So please, take the blue-tinted specs off, realise that they are CLEARLY lying and be angry about that.
I heard 30-40k and some of those had fake tix.

your conclusion re 60k is simply nuts. not been said by anyone but you.

bitterness bounds that.

There's no evidence that 'a part of the crowd' acted up. Some people bunking in is s****** behaviour but they bunked in successfully so there was no trouble.

The ones who actually climbed into the stadium itself have been reported to be local Parisians (maybe some were Liverpool fans).
Why on earth would "local Parisians" bunk in? Why do they never bunk in to anything else?

I am all for going easy on that lot but not at the expense of some incredibly sloppy "lets blame the French" stuff. It's nauseating.

I’m not on here to defend kopites but if 40000 had been turned away from the ground because they’d bought fake tickets we’d be hearing a bit more about it from them wouldn’t we? Not like they don’t like to whinge.

As much as I hate him he really shouldn't. Every club will have people going over without tickets. That's what the fan parks are for.

The difference is that most other clubs fans then do not expect to get into the ground without a ticket.
