Roy should know the fool, there are different types of Var calls for Liverpool fc, that was an Insurance Var, simply meaning they were only leading 1-0 with not long to go, so Var insured
a late goal wouldn't have made any difference.

The fact they were just able to hold onto a 1-0 lead for 85 minutes, even despite Watford looking very attacking and having clear shots at goal. It's mystifying. Gomez drops in and plays amazing at RB, of course, because of course he does. Doesn't matter if he's never played there before, he'll be fantastic, because he plays for them.
They are leaps and bounds ahead of us. Probably the biggest gap in quality I can remember in my lifetime. I just wish we had once ounce of their luck or ability.

Not splitting hairs but Gomez has Full England caps there you know he's hardly a novice transformed with their shirt. Comparing us to them isn't healthy... I don't indulge in that - never have even when we were in their shadow when I was at school. I'd still rather be an Evertonian no matter if they, as my dear old Ma quipped, "had diamonds dangling out of their arses".
