ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Kopites should give up.

We just watched the next champions there.

Man City the only team capabable of putting 15 wins on the bounce to rein Chelsea back in.

Today could be crucial, Liverpool have to win to keep pace, but anything else and they’re moving into looking more likely to be in a top 4 scrap with a resurgent Arsenal and maybe Conte’s Spurs rather than concerning themselves what Chelsea and City are doing.

I fully expect Arsenal to fail their first big test on their unbeaten run.

But Liverpool cant live with City and Chelsea. They needed those two to splutter and stutter in the first 3rd of the season to give them a lead they could try and hold on to. What we have though are Chelsea looking like they can stretch away at will (imagine them with a fit Lukaku btw) and City will run off at some point 10-12 wins on the spin.

Not sure about these tactics by Arteta. They are sitting too deep and that's no good if you have defensive mistakes in you (which they do). Plus Salah can do his stuff even against packed defences. Arsenal look settled but need to be more aggressive and less respectful.

I said earlier I had no faith in Judas helmet head's unbeaten run extending.

But the fact of the matter is that Liverpool will generally do very well in games against bigger teams but look (on many occasions) vulnerable and switched off against the rest...and there's far more of 'the rest' than bigger teams.

They'll fall about 10 points behind City and Chelsea by the end of January after the AFCON. They're task now is to make sure they remain top 4 before the wheels fall off.

Bad mistake in the end though, after speaking to my RS mate on his way home from the game he said all it did was get the RS fans and players up for it.

100%

Arteta just gifted them the points from that moment on. He either needs to go all in and chin the tit or pipe down
Once you get that shower of scruffs pumped up, all decisions will go their way.

Disagree…. If arsenal had half the pride and fight that Wengers great Arsenal sides had they would grow from that situation and battle even harder… it all comes down to will to win because man for man they are technically just as good as that Liverpool side
