ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Correct.

The moment he tried to snap Pickford's ankle going over the top of the ball but came out the worse off...a case of the biter bitten:

Im still convinced he had an ongoing injury before this. Klopp said in an interview that he was having injections before games and they way he walked off didnt look that serious to me. Probably, knowing that lot, used the tackle as an excuse. Always the victim and all that.

He peaked in the period beginning with his final season at Celtic, his Southampton spell - and he carried that form over to the half season he had when joining Liverpool from January-May 2018. He was an all action up and down the pitch CB and did it very well indeed.

Since then he predominantly plays at the back as some glorified sweeper and it neutered him. Now even that limited role is a busted flush with the injury he got last season.

He's finished. Completely finished. No way would City or Chelsea or even United look at him and want him now.

He'll be playing for Ajax in a season or so, then Go Ahead Eagles to end his career.
Then a little rustic hut in a lay by on the tourist trail to Volendam setting himself up as a Klompenmakker. Obviously he'll only need one!

The club that made no mention of Heysel in its official boardroom review wrapping up season 1984/85.

Mentioned every other incident of the season, just not that event.

Easily forgotten though. I mean, 39 people murdered - you cant expect a club board of directors to remember that...it had been a month since it happened after all.

Like Trotsky, simply erased from history.

Loved the way they highlighted a "brilliant" intervention by VvD in their six yard box. All he did was stick his frigging leg out to block the ball.
Towards the end of the game he was shoulder to shoulder with Antonio he threw his arm across his face to stop him going past him no foul given not a replay or a mention from the pundits, anyone can look good if your mistakes are ignored and anything good you do is replayed time and again , Arnold's performances defensively is poor at best but somehow hes labelled world class.

This is the way you leave the pitch when you have had a bad knee injury (without existing drugs in your system that is)! VVD is a fraud and a cheat

I still hate Brian Marwood for the tackle on Adrian Heath.
