ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

RS I know is saying refs are now stopping them as the FA do not want them running away with the league and turning it into a non-contest. Says VAR stopped their third goal as it would have been game over (Not coz it was not a goal mind). I did remind him that even had it stood, and even if they had beaten Brighton, that they still would have been behind Chelsea in the league, and not, as he says, running away with it. Incredibly he then said this proves his point as so many decisions have gone against them already this season. I gave up after that, I mean, what is the flippin point when they truly believe this tripe? Funny watching them crack up and search for excuses though. They just cannot admit that Brighton did well.
Just chin him

They really need to drop the sentiment and stop playing with The Late Virgil's upright coffin in the centre of defence....

In related news, hands up all those who reckon his latest Keystone Cops display will still see him ensconced in the goon Crooks' team of the week?
to be fair to big garth he called out the ref who refused to send milner off, called him a bottle job!

Didnt watch their game, how did Tariq Lamptey look when he came on?
Extremely good, he humiliated Robertson on numerous occasions in the short time he was on.

I can’t remember seeing Robertson struggle to contain someone as much as he did Lamptey yesterday, he literally couldn’t get near him.

I do see Lamptey’s future more as a winger though.

Virgil Van Donkey - a figure of frustration all game playing short passes, stumbling around and complaining
Robertson the Rat screaming at Graham Potter second half as he *failed* to hand the ball to him when the ball when out for a throw in
*Trent* the RB who isn't a RB but is "still the best RB in the world" throwing March to the ground for denying him 'the right' to take a quick free kick

The wheels have fallen off.

The drugs dont work, they just turn you into a monster.

Arnold has been getting away with foul play for a long time now. Its got even worse since his form went down the Swanee and he got a chip on his shoulder over his England status being questioned. About time refs took off the Special Dispensation specs and also felt the collar of Robertson who could get booked every match for his manic eyeballed aggression towards Refs and opponents over fouls/decisions etc. Henderson is no dignified example as skipper either... Ive seen him openly cursing at Refs without censure.

The defence looked terrible:

The two FBs cant defend...and now they cant attack; VVD is finished...completely finished, and Konate looks like a dog.

You cant win a title with tat like that...and dont get me started on the pony MF they have.

They are literally a team kept near the top of the table by one man - Salah...and he looked like a headless chicken yesterday. Let's hope his incredible form has finally plateaued and on the way back to being just good-to-very good instead of world class...when that happens for a spell that lot will sink like a stone.

Arnold has been getting a lot of grief lately off my normally deluded RS mate, having a pop at how gash his crossing/ set pieces have been.

Nice to see Robertson fully pedded up, charging back to defend his goal and just about managing to keep Brightons strikers onside for their equalizing goal.

Nice to hear that Lamptey has come back strongly.

A lot of rumours over the past few months that his long term hamstring injury had close to finished him.

I think hes a fantastic player at wing back but would struggle at full back + perhaps needs more space as a wing back as opposed to being a winger.
