ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Any team with serious title credentials puts a rival - down to 10 men - on the rack for 45 minurtes and finds a way through. The Kopites know it too.

Seen enough of Liverpool yesterday to dismiss them. And that squad is ropey beyond the starting XI and a couple of more. Nowhere near strong enough.

Short of them landing a couple of big signings in the next 48 hours they'll struggle to finish top 4.

They will finish in top 4

They will finish in top 4
I said they'd struggle to.

Yesterday saw some familiar signs from last season for them: Mane looked clueless...knocks to players who went off all too easily (Firmino), an opponent exploiting the line between defence and midfield.

They were petrified of Chelsea.

City, Chelsea, United all finish above them. The 4th spot is there to be fought over by any team(s) putting together a great season and Liverpool.

If they get any key injuries then they will struggle but like the previous years if they are able to pick almost the same 11 week in and week out they will comfortably get in the top 4. No matter how much we hate it they are still a very good side and not many better in the league. I believe they will finish above Utd.

But your predictions are, to say the least, not very good mate.

Look what happened so far: Roberston injured, Firmino injured. They struggled with injuries last season and they are not getting away with it again this season....and that's quite besides the fact they are not at the races quality wise even if they do keep injury free from now on.

Will be a difficult season for them I expect.

As much as our troubles are difficult, I enjoy getting reminded that they are in a league of their own.

Only it's not the league that Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, and PSG are in.

Thanks goodness for UEFA and their Top 4, whatever next I wonder?

A franchise league with no promotion or relegation??

They'll break new ground every week... yesterday two-fold BOGOF. Say hello to the Special Dispensation Penalty Award and the Special Dispensation Non Yellow Card for Kicking The Ball Away.
The amount of spawniness before the incident was unbelievable.
Chelsea not awarded a corner.
Matip sliced kick
Bouncing off bar
Alonso heading out of his own keepers hands
Deflection off the defender onto his arm

They are the devil's club

Thought Chelsea looked really sharp yesterday up top, Mount and Havertz were a constant threat.
In midfield though Jorginho was absolutely superb, looks like he’s getting better and better, Kante isn’t bad either!
