ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Their game plan as a club is to buy players for about £30 million, hope they do well for a couple of seasons, sell them for £100 million and then buy another 1 for £30 million. Covid and the financial problems at Madrid and Barca have put paid to that.
It's a good point mate. I dont think even PSG are spending massively.

I said a few weeks back that another big issue for Liverpool is the failure of the crop of youngsters they had. They were supposed to be saving them a fortune, but now they sell them off or loan them out to balance the books.

Liverpool are going nowhere fast.

I dont think so. If they had fresh blood into the team I'd say maybe.

But their first team are all cracking on 30 or past 30. Any PEDs they take might help them maintain a level of perfromance for their age, but it wont give them energy levels of players in their 20s. Three years ago that core of players were at optimal age to receive and make good use of PEDs. Not now.
You Sir are a true football savant.

I like reading your posts you make a lot of sense.

Doffs my cap to you.

They dropped from a team that had been maintaining 90 plus points totals for two seasons in a row to one that was beaten 6 times in a row at home by the dross of the league and was in the worst form of the entire league. They then miraculously bounced back to winning almost all of their final games to get back into third. I don’t think I’ve seen any team in any sport ever swing so wildly when there’s no mitigating circumstance for it (e.g Van Dijk didn’t suddenly come back fit and they started winning)

Other teams (Leicester and Chelsea) had other fish to fry. That's how they got back in the top 4. Yes, they started winning again, but they stunk the place out in half those games and only fortune gave them the points...the last second Allison goal springs to mind.

They'll do better than last season, but nowhere enough to trouble the elite of City and Chelsea - and not even United.

Please spend £35m on Jarrod Bowen. Please.

I'll chauffeur him to your training ground if that's what it'd take.

Above average player but worth £15-20m max.
