ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Prays for Wrighty,

I miss his goal celebrations actually, they were better than his goals
After seeing that thing with Alan Shearer about social media abuse, unfortunately without joking, he will likely get attacked and stuff will overstep the boundaries of acceptability. What he is saying is true though - United compared to the rs, are a better option over the short and medium term for a young player who have the ability to push on to the next level and want a shot at the big time.

Last night's result was perfect: when United beat them tonight it means that Liverpool wont stop chasing for a CL place as it'll still be mathematically possible with 3 *easy* looking ones to come to still catch Chelsea.

Even if they get a draw they are still massive outsiders to get a CL spot. Leicester would need a single point; Chelsea another win to be safe in the top 4...and Liverpool are hardly capable of stringing 3 wins together against any teams.

I will enjoy tonight's match tremndously.

They are caught in a no man's land between the CL they want to be in and the EL they dont want to be in. That's utterly tremendous.

*waves at RAWK*

9 years ago today they were all bouncing round their living rooms screaming “Agueroooooooo” and celebrating a Man City title win as if it was their own. Never let them forget that.
I always try to imagine just what it would've been like being a City fan that day.

Just imagine if we'd won the league by snatching it away from the reds in the 93rd minute of the last day..

There'd be scenes for WEEKS afterwards lol

Last nights result is frustrating, but it's better Chelsea rather than Liverpool being the ones to catch with their remaining games and form.

Chelsea took their eye off the ball and I fully expect them to win their last 2 games. I'm much more confident in them than Leicester, although I do fancy Leicester on the final day against Spurs.

Liverpool have to win today though. A draw is no good. I can't remember the last time they won at OT (or Goodison frankly) but we must be going back many many years. Even with a win, you'd still be much happier in Chelsea's court.

Chelsea will need pretty much one win if Liverpool fail to win tonight. IMO United will roast these - they are a team set up to batter Liverpool's appalling defence.

It effectively ends tonight...but they still cant give up the chase, and will end up securing a EL spot.

I can't tell you just how good and bad it was.
The second half was just absolute, utter torture. Genuinely feeling totally sick in the pit of your stomach.
Even when Dzeko equalised that just actually made it worse! Fans were crying at that stage
and not out of happiness. It was just weird and then it happened. We got a throw in on the
left hand side which was going to be the last move of the game whatever happened.
It was like watching it in slow motion. I was sure Aguero was going to go down for the penalty
and then the noise, emotion, joy, relief was simply off the scale. Absolute bedlam! It was genuinely
unbelievable. We obviously only watched the videos of United at Sunderland afterwards.
For a City fan the only thing that comes close is Dickov's goal in the 1999 play off final. Pretty
similar in lots of ways. As a football fan it's one of those things you will never, ever forget.
To be in the stadium at that game was privilege. To this day the hairs on the back of my neck
stand up when I watch it and I think they always will.

Similar feeling to when we beat Rotherham this season
