ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Tony Evans get's some stick but I've never really minded him as Kopites go.

The commentariat did turn on this issue a bit, but as soon as they are getting their free passes and access from FSG they will sell the rest of the fanbase down the road again.
But the ordinary fans are really angry. Loads of them are really irate about that apology. I actually thought it was an alright-if a bit creepy- apology, but it seems to inflamed them further.

If United are protesting for that United V Liverpool game they will want in on it. And it is going to cause a whole manner of cognitive dissonance amongst their fanbase.
I'll tell you what they're angry about: the fact that it was other fans like Leeds and Chelsea who go the chance to bring down this scab league with protests as they stood on the sideline wondering what way Klopp would jump to stay in line with him.

They proved themselves to be a bunch of cultists who are led by the nose by a manager...and not for the first time either.

Yes, that will rankle. I've already had some of them on my social media page making jokes about the lads who died out in Istanbul following Leeds after Leeds were given a bit of credit.

That will drive them to want to keep protesting to try and shift the narrative that they are the real Bolsheviks when we know their historical role is really that of the cossacks.

Whats funny is some fans will also be FSG in. So there's going to be a massive fight for intepretation starting right about now. Hopefully this 300m thing comes true. As if it is thats Alisson, Arnold, Robertson, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Salah and Mane all sold for 300m to over it.

In view of the fact that they dont have a bona fide motto (apart from the ubiquitous one they took ownership of from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel" via Gerry Marsden.. and its rogue relative knicked from the Village People's hit)...might I suggest a new one for them....
"None Of Us Knew Nottn Abar Nottn"
Would look nice under the crest they also took ownership of/knicked.

RM have said they have been planning this for over 3 years. There has been a 170 page document read and signed. Billy Hogan emailed the staff to tell them what a great idea it was. I'm going to call rubbish on this idea only the owners knew about it.

What's probably happened is Klopp has seen the anger from the Leeds fans and players, panicked and gone into self preservation mode, making random comments that don't relate to the Super League. Thats what my monies on,

This exactly, it wasn’t about them for once and they’re fuming.

In their eyes the Leeds and Chelsea fans protests were magnified by the Everton statement to the point where we were being called high horse FC

Rebels without a cause.

The poor old Kopites will be looking to their game tomorrow to let off a few pathetic flares and hold a few bedsheets up to the camera....after the war's won and everyone's moving on.

They hacked into Man City's computers and received a pitiful fine for espionage.

They were part of a group of teams that had the same club under surveillance for FFP irregularities.

Them and Man United wanted to push through rules giving them extra power over the Premier League with Project Big Picture (hilarious title by the way).

They were part of a 12 club group that basically plotted a coup of European football.

It's about time they were given a real punishment.

From the Grauniad's live updates:

Here is Jürgen Klopp after being asked to send a message to fans in light of the Super League.

I know the owners, I know them since six years. I know there were some moments when they might not have made the right decisions. This time, for sure. That doesn’t change too much for me. Because I prefer dealing with the problems or the people I know than just changing, because you might have the same problems early enough again.

I think it’s completely normal after this that everybody thinks about, ‘How can we carry on?’ and stuff like this but that needs longer time. You cannot solve that in a week. It’s always like this - we have to be concentrated on the things we are actually here for, that is playing football. That’s what we try to do.

That's a word salad in any language, absolute tripe.

Awaits Henry Winter’s next article waxing lyrical about Klopp’s latest powerful condemnation of the owners.
