ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I said it earlier. The Liverpool fans had zero impact on FSG pulling out. They would have quite happily ridden it out if City and Chelsea has not pulled out
The current legacy Liverpool fans are the past in their owner's minds. The future fans are in Asia and the USA, that is where they are headed. It is quite sad for the handful of normal ones but ultimately where they have been headed for a while now.

I am no great fan of United fans but the old school fans saw through the Glaziers in 2005 when they bought in , they were protesting against them when everybody was wondering what they had to moan about.
Unlike our neighbours who will swallow any old bullshit as long as they get a shiny new toy every now and then. The video of John Henry in his rocking chair like everybody's favourite granddad apologising was classic .He was taking the piss wake up and smell the coffee.

There wont be a word said about this fiasco before too long. No SOS soundbites and sprayed on banners. Business as usual over the park... if we dont talk about it anymore, it didnt really happen. Till the next disgraceful, shameful debacle that is.

I can’t make out if this is genuine or a spoof.

With those mutants one just never knows.

I'll throw something in here that may be controversial but I don't actually think he's that bad a fella at all. He's clearly able to have a laugh at himself, the fact he's bald etc. Generally speaking he will give other teams credit when they win, and he's not the usual "that must be a pen" if Liverpool are appealling. TMhere was a game recently where they have a 50/50 shout for a pen for a handball, Chelsea I think and he just said it was never a pen.

I mean if you take aside that filming yourself watching a game is very weird, and obviously thats a big big of context, he doesn't actually seem to take himself that seriously. Seems the sort of lad you could go to the pub with and have a bit of a laugh with.

The only one though, who lives with his mum and patently has no mates. Pretty much every single lad I know would batter him if he ever showed up at the local. He just screams wrongun.

The only thing I ever agreed that John Barnes has said

“The only way it (football) will work is if we can control football by bringing a salary cap in, controlling it, reviewing it, being better audited, so that it's a level playing field for every team in the Premier League, so they can all spend the same amount of money."

John Barnes is a really funny one. He will sometimes say things that you stop and go "oh yea thats really insightful that". Then at other moments you just wonder what planet he is on.

That's no excuse. They should have had the balls to say 'thanks but no thanks'
just as other clubs did. So basically the defence is they put a gun to our heads?
Not good enough. Not good enough at all.

Yes I would agree. There is a lot of context and discussion and fall out to happen from this and I'm sure we will start to hear more about this.

I do wonder about City's motivations, to basically join up with a bunch of people who have done everything they could- even breaching European law- to try and stop Manchester City. I can only think they got spooked and had this terror of missing out. Thats all I can think. It's not like they need the 300m in the way say Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and ti a greater degree Real Madrid and Barcelona do.
