ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Seriously though, unless the punishment for their fans actions starts affecting the club they won’t stop, they just don’t get it. No other club has a history as shameful as theirs, sanctions on the club is the only way they will learn.

The RS just play the 'victims' card mate and for some reason whatever they do gets brushed under the carpet, even the media in this country are so far up the RS's arse they won't have anything bad said against them.

So they tried to intimidate us before the Derby with scarves and flags which worked perfectly for them as it intimidated us into just a 2-0 win

Then they tried their old tricks of flares and damaging property to try a scare Zizou and co, did the job well as those brave souls put a defensive masterclass in to hold their 3-1 lead from last week

Yeah, the problem with this is they'll end up implicated in something really bad. Hysel or Hillsborough level and it'll be inescapable.

Which is unfortunate. If more attention and calling out was done it might just stave off the worst.

IIRC the times (I think) ran an article calling their fans out, the backlash was so bad they had to publish a retraction and an apology

literally take no responsibility for anything, offended by everything ashamed of nothing is the most correct statement ever

It is unfortunately a delicate one. The horrific tosh a certain red top published post Hillsborough did the press no favours here. Certainly not the Times who share a proprietor.

However, there comes a point when you can't just ignore bad behaviour. Two wrongs and all that. Plus, it is the medias job to do it. And good journalism shouldn't suffer due the conduct of said red top and ensuing sensitivities.

Tough topic to be honest. Hope I'm not causing any offence, appreciate posters may have been personally affected so I'll shush if I am.
