ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Jorge Valdano weighing in on Klopp’s stadium jibe, saying the new Bernabeu will make Anfield look like a training ground. Always nice to see that not everyone is utterly enthrall of them

You get the sense Real Madrid are completely not bothered about their, and their little tinpot ground.

I remember all of them going on about their European pedigree before the European final where Real Madrid schooled them. Like Real Madrid were going to be in the least bit concerned that they won a penalty kick competition once in the previous 30 years or so. Nice try lads. Just the 13 CL for Madrid.

Thank you GoT’s very own Dr Josef Goebbels, what evidence is there that koppites are racist? City are a cheating, financially doped club backed by a racist, repressive regime which relies on exploited labour from India, Pakistan and Bangla Desh to keep their country running, like Qatar and Dubai - just like the Sally Army! do you live in Liverpool? How is the area around Breck Road different from that around County Roadif one is a no go area so is the other; You sir are a bigot,
Oh look another one

Hes basically bench fodder for a upper mid table team. They're probably paying him like 400k per week though.

Wages will become an issue for them without big sales. Salah and Thiago are on 200k a week. Mane is on half of that. Robertson and Alexander Arnold are on 50k and 70k both being paid less than Divock Origi. Robertson is paid less than Tsimikas! How much will they both demand on contract renewals? Why wouldn’t Mane want the same as what Salah and Firmino are getting? They’re going to have to increase their wage bill massively in the very near future just to keep the players they have. That’s why them going out tonight and someone popping them to 4th would be disastrous for them. Their run costs are going to be ginormous as they’ve effectively put their top players on cream of Europe wages without having the billionaire owners to guarantee them.

30.000 in anfield booing evra is not a minority of racists and the non racists like probably yourself enable the hard core element to carry on known full well you will defend them to the last .

Anyone else think Alisson is massively overrated by RS and the media generally? Definitely not the best keeper in the PL and I would struggle to put him in my top 5. Would personally put Mendy, Henderson, Ederson, Pope and Schmeichel ahead of him.

Hello mate :bye:

Merson questioning why the RS bought Thiago and are not playing him against Madrid. Isn’t it obvious?
He doesn’t do much.
For the Thiago thing to ever work they need a few other players who actually play in a similar vein as him. At the moment though he sticks out like a sore thumb as they don't really play in a way that accommodates a player like that. I can't help feeling with Thiago that they just jumped at the chance to buy a player from Bayern who had just won the CL to make themselves look good and now given the injuries and 3 CB thing it looks to have majorly backfired.

Looked good last season with a doped in team infront of him. Looked awful this season. His mistakes don’t get mentioned though. He was awful for the second and third in Madrid.

Totally agree. It is also noticeable that most of the media are picking up on this and have stopped having orgasms every time he passes the ball 5 yards.

The build up seems surprisingly low key as well. Everyone knows that Bayern are the best team in Europe and the Bayern City game was the big match. City are the nearest challengers. PSG have played a blinder.

I genuinely didn't know it was tonight. I've been a bit busy with work, but there seems to be very little buzz for this. It's going to be quite a come down for them after tonight I'd imagine. Their greatest team of all time again winning absolutely nothing.

Since arriving in England before Pep, Klopp has won 2 trophies, Pep has 6 and counting. He will probably be at around 8 or 9 by the end of this season as well. Levels and all that. He will win more in 1 season than Klopp has managed in about 7.
Bayern missed Lewandowski massively in those games with PSG. If he'd played in just one of them Bayern would be through.

I can see a City/Madrid final and City edging it.

Klopp: once they have no dreams left this season there will be some serious fall out for him. A bad start next season and he'll face the same situation Rodgers did.

Alisson was unbelievably good the since signing for them, the stats back that up. He has been incredibly poor this year however, I mean not poor at his level but really poor.

Interestingly, Ederson was similar last season and Neuer had similar the year before, so top keepers can have a significant dip and bounce out of it, but then again De Gea dipped and never really came back, so hard to call.

Personally, I would give him a pass on the year, I do think crowds have an impact on keepers and their mind wandering at times in empty stadiums, but more significantly he has had 20 odd centre back pairings in front of him due to Klopp mismanaging the injuries, his wife has been very ill in pregnancy (widely reported) and that is before you consider the impact of the death of his aul lad and the tragic nature of that.
