Amazing isn't it, the one time in decades that Liverpool can not buy a win at home, six straight home losses. So what do UEFA do ? Make Liverpool play their home game at a neutral ground. You couldn't make it up. lol lolWas that where 'Escape To Victory' was filmed or am I just making that up?
Whaaat, I don't believe it ST Virgil ?Lets see how much media exposure and air time this gets....
The one where Trevor Brooking’s shot stuck in the stanchion. No mate, it was at the old Nep Stadium, still in Budapest.
Thats the one. 3 nil iirc. I did a 'stadium tour' back in the late 80s. Was run down then but think the last match played there was in the 2000's.The one where Trevor Brooking’s shot stuck in the stanchion.
Nailed it!Drip, drip, drip.
I posted yesterday that Steve Nicol said on BT that the RS have missed their fans more than any other club. This is not the first time that I've heard people pushing this narrative. In fact, it's incessant. Nicol also added that teams and certain players are scared to play at The Pit. Little bit of 'let's get in their heads maybe' whilst he had the stage. He used Raheem Sterling as an example and said that he had his best game for City at The Pit this season when fans were not in attendance. Totally airbrushing that he has always been the invisible man against City. Even at the Etihad.
It's the same with the concept of 'injuries' that they've patented/trademarked.
This is what I mean by drip, drip, drip. Their dominance of the media also seems to affect non-RS pundits who, almost to a man, push the same agenda.
I fact, look back through this thread and witness how many Blues (and pretend Blues) also buy into this propaganda. Someone said on here something like 'to be fair, their home record has dropped off the most'. I'm not one to vault but erm, it is true of most teams. Different times. Let's investigate this.
RS
Home: Won 7, Drawn 2, Lost 6 => 5th best in the League. Only City and West Ham have won more at home.
Consider this - before the recent debacle they were Won 7, Drawn 2. Not much evidence of missing the fans (Yes @number4. I know that they had fans for 3 games). They won 2 and drew the other with the mighty West Brom.
Away: Won 5, Drawn 5, Lost 3 => 9th best in the League.
Amazingly they seem to be missing fans at away games just as much.
For comparison, let's consider Everton.
Home: Won 5, Drawn 2, Lost 6 => 14th best in the League. 2 League games with fans and 2 wins.
Away: Won 9, Drawn 2, Lost 3 => 4th best in the League
Don't tell anyone but it would seem that we are missing our fans much more.
Are we going to get another one of these masterpieces?

I remember after that game, the next day at school, we were all trying to ‘Brooking’ it into the stanchion on the school pitch in break time.Thats the one. 3 nil iirc. I did a 'stadium tour' back in the late 80s. Was run down then but think the last match played there was in the 2000's.
I had to rewatch it as seen someone else quote that. I cannot believe he said that and everyone involved went "yep that's fine""You're raping all of them at once"![]()
