One positive is that even when they’re playing a full strength team they don’t seem to have any intensity. Chelsea were able to pass it around freely. Even Fulham could against a decent looking midfield. You’d like to think a half decent CL team will have more than enough over 2 legs.

There’s still a large number thinking that they’re going to 05 this season and magic there way back out this hole they’ve dug themselves into. They live in permanent belief that the football gods always shine on them. I suppose why wouldn’t they when they’ve not been punished for anything in their history and a bad season for them is finishing in Europe with a trophy. Reality might hit home hard for a few the second they’re out the CL and it becomes clear to any of them that can count that they’re not going to be making the top 4.

Yeah if it was any other team you’d count them out completely but we all know what they’re like for coming up smelling of roses. That said, the 05 team could actually defend and had players like Carragher Hyppia Alonso Gerrard. This current team is a complete shambles at the moment defensively.
