ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

No because his behaviour has been the same since he walked through the door there 5 years ago.

As I said he can be a tool, but his recent interviews have been worse than ever. People put it down to the losses and draws and I suspect that plays its part but his mum died on 19th Jan, just before the Burnley game - which happens to coincide with his crappy behaviour.

Football isnt like normal jobs where people go off sick and grieve, they normally carry on working. Coupled with not being able to see her after she died or go to a funeral due to a pandemic, you can understand his recent tetchy behaviour.

Think people jyst assumed he was a sore loser. Which im.sure also contributed to his behaviour, but obviously there was more behind it

Sad news indeed and never nice to hear, however he's been an absolute bellend for years so I doubt that's the reason why he's been even more of a bellend recently. He's been snapping at interviewers all season because things on the pitch haven't been going his way.

December 2017. What happened in his personal life around that time that could be used as an excuse for this attack and intimidation of a journalist?

No it doesn’t.

7 months ago this one.

Wonder if his recent behaviour has anything to do with the news. Im not defending him as he can be a complete tool, but he was terrible to an interviewer recently. Reckon the pressure of losing games, being out of the title race and his mothers death caught up with him. If thats the case though he needs to step away for a bit.

Of course it does, tough on anyone, but to mourn so privately while in the public eye must be very tough. That said, it shouldnt excuse it & he is a very very bad loser

I agree he is a bell-end but I would say it is the reason he has been more so lately. And understandably so. Imagine not being able to go to your own mums funeral. His head must be up the wall. I know mine would.
If he was being a bellend just recently I would agree, but he has been the same for years. He's just a whiny horrible blurt.

It will have had everything to do with it.

His mother passed away January 19th I think, so he’s been mourning her and having to deal with everything else on top for a while. I cannot imagine the pain that causes, to be so far away and have to go through this, he of course is incredibly close with his family, and always spoke so fondly of his very protective and loving mother, and of his upgringing.

Yes Kloppo can be a real a rse with the press, becose he doesn’t like them - and rightly so, the English tabloid press are absolute scum, but this is just truly terrible for him, to have to deal with from afar. With the whole covid thing and sepereation from family, I can’t even imgine where his head is at now, and how tough it is for him.

Funny, that, can you explain away this from November?

Or this from March?

Or this from February 2018?

Everyone knows that he is a bad loser that isn’t new it is probably why he wins trophies because he hates losing so much

Yeah he has a crap attitude when his team is in a rut and maybe the club should be helping him with media training to avoid these issues

Carlo is calm and collected whether we win draw or lose

Problem is klopp is far too emotional and can’t disguise it.

Anyway rip to klopp mum. It’s awful news and made worse by the fact that he can’t even travel to attend the funeral which is tragic.

Kloppo ?

Certainly puts some of the behavior in context but, as has been proven earlier in the thread, he has been like this before, so I don't think we can attribute it all.

I think it will be extremely harsh to criticise his recent behaviour too much because it must be hurting, if it is affecting his mental state and it resorts to verbally insulting/abusing journalists, who are just doing their job, there is no harm in sending another member of the staff in and state 'personal reasons'.

Must be terrible for him not to be able to get back for the funeral, however, in any line of work (and I know football is a different prospect) you have to remain professional and not let outside forces affect how you react to people, regardless of what you think of what they said and how stupid you think they are.
