ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Tbf Clusterfuck didnt ref a game at Goodison for years after the Jack Rodwell derby.

Yeah, but that was one of the worst decisions in prem history. David coote got everything right in the derby, as i said before, he got the most marginal offside decision, probably ever, correct, yet i did not see anyone say how brilliant he did in getting the call right. Same with the Pickford incident, it was offside and wasn't violent conduct, so it was right. Just shows how far in the gutter football is in this country. They cried off, wanted to leave the league, yet they still get special dispensation, if we did what they did, we would never get a good decision again.

Just shows how weak and fragile that club is that they won't do anything the hard way, they always want everything handed to them on a plate or by cheating.

Apologies if this has been
An absolute utter disgrace.
That would not have happened for any other club - .
Completely laughable. Which other club can change the
selected officials at will?

it happened to Man United for 15 years under Ferguson. Underpins the influence that certain clubs / managers are still having over the FA. Worrying

clattenburg got banned for his antics in the Clattenburg derby (sending off Hibbert at Slippy G's request, not seeing Kuyts two footed lunge or Carragher using a sumo move on Lescott etc etc)

He did not ref a game of ours for years after. Atkinson continued to get our games following the Rodwell sending of in the Derby.

Was definitely Atkinson,Clattenberg was the one who refused to give the pen against Carra laaa

Wasn't Atkinson. Clattenberg was basically 'persona non-grata' for our games for years after. Atkinson continued to get our games after his sending off gaffe against Rodwell. Check Minimeister's post #28,883.

Clattenberg was 2007,when the fallout with Moyes happened,Atkinson sent off Rodwell in 2011,the point being made is that Atkinson sent off Rodwell, not whether he reffed another derby game

I think it's actually worse than Ferguson. Ferguson used his 'influence' to make sure certain officials were not picked. But to actually get the chosen & named official removed and replaced a few days before a big game due to one decision they didn't like in a previous game as you say is very worrying indeed. The upshot being that any official on VAR duties in a Liverpool game will now be scared to death to give any decision against them either way. The bias towards Liverpool really has gone beyond a joke now.

We're not talking about United though are we? Seems odd to bring that up...

No we are not; but it's relevant context, so not odd at all. The point I was trying to express is it is crazy that a club, a fan base or a combination of both is still able to influence a referee selection, which is disgraceful. Nothing to do with deflection
