ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It is perfectly normal for athletes in their early thirties to excel in running longer distances. As you age, you lose fast-twitch muscle fibers the ones that help with sprinting and and gain slow-twitch muscle fibers the ones that help you with endurance.

The likes of Richard Gough, Gareth Barry and currently Seamus Coleman show that age is no barrier to fitness or athletic ability.
Can you post a graph please mate

just reading on Gomez, looks like the worst possible result for him & could be career ending, which is awful.

Should he miss the rest of this season, he will have missed 160+ club games due to injuries on international duty, all in exchange for 11 caps. Suspect there are good few considering if the risk is worth it over their coffee in St Georges Park this morning.
Awful that and I really hope not.

It’s amazing. The RS haven’t got anyone to blame. Solution - blame the FA for having pesky internationals. Let’s ignore the fact that it happened during training.

Their instinctive emotional response is to blame and to seek pity.

Sympathy for the player comes after.

Self-reflection and insight are non-existant.

I reckon richarlison would cover as much ground as him him if he played lb. superb engine
Great engine yes but it's the sprints Robertson produces, he's as quick in the 85th minutes as he is the 1st.

Edit, I posted a comment just like this during one of their games a few weeks ago, can't remember which game and I don't know how to find it, but I basically mentioned a Robertson sprint in the dying minutes of their game. It was unbelievable and he wouldn't blow a candle out after these sprints either.

Never heard that before? Losing fast twitch, and muscle mass. Don't think you gain slow though?
Edit: tbf I don't know much re: sports medicine
