ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

OK, first I thought their reaction was hilarious, then I thought it was completely over the top but still funny. Then I found it disturbing and as the big red PR machine, aided and abetted by their media flunkies, swung into action I found it a bit scary. I have never experienced anything like the fall out from this. I expected it from their fans but the behaviour and comments from so called experts has been nothing but shameful. They have stoked the fires of racism and death threats and incitement to take revenge. Souness's hate filled rant ought to have guaranteed that he never works in the media again. And let's face it, when Jamie Carragher is the voice of reason there is something fundamentally broken.

Since you asked so nicely

This should be in the National Gallery. Da Vinci himself would approve.

Tangentially, the murder of Virgil’s knee could have a negative impact on any hopes Roscoe had regarding any possible lifting of the fatwa issued against him. The RS supporting gangsta (whose ma Roscoe goosed) will probably be fuming over VVD’s passing and I would expect little clemency headed Roscoe’s way ( despite the rapprochement in relations between him and BJ)

This is a very dark hole to head down. Cant believe he is actually saying this

I actually looked at this twitter account because I thought it must be fake, but it's 100% legit. He goes on to defend that comment and also suggest as a starting point Pickford should be sued for the cost of VVDs wages whilst unavailable and his rehabilitation.

There are quite a few Blues on there questioning him about VVDs early challenges on James and DCL and also the challenges by Mane and Robertson, and he doesn't respond directly to any of them.

He also made a comment in reply to some RS saying there should be some form of retribution against officials not doing their job properly. He was agreeing adding that it wouldn't happen on his watch. Some Bluenose then posted a still of the Dirk Kuyt challenge on Neville asking for his comment. Again no direct response.

Seems the Blue half of Merseyside are holding their own on Twitter today ;)
